Intriguing Draft Results
Team Dallas Cowboys

Some fantasy football players draft with their heart and load up with players from their favorite team. Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin seemed to take that strategy in the Pro Bowl draft.
In fact, every single Cowboys player at the Pro Bowl is on Team Irvin, as Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com noted:
Some of the Cowboys will resonate with even casual NFL fans, including quarterback Tony Romo, running back Murray and tight end Jason Witten. Irvin even went out of his way to grab non-household names like tackle Tyron Smith, center Travis Frederick and long snapper L.P. Ladouceur.
It is easy to poke fun at Irvin as the former Cowboy (who had some help from captain Murray) loading his team with Dallas players, but it may not be a bad strategy. After all, the Cowboys won the NFC East, beat the Detroit Lions in the playoffs and were a controversial non-catch from Dez Bryant away from putting themselves in ideal position to win in the divisional round against the Green Bay Packers.
It's not as if Irvin loaded his team with Cleveland Browns players.

Plus, there's something to be said for team chemistry in an event like this. The teams were put together merely days before the actual event, but having a number of teammates on the same side ideally means they will know how the others operate.
Perhaps that will lead to a Pro Bowl victory for Team Irvin.
Colt-on-Colt Crime
Team Carter is hoping to capitalize on some of that chemistry with the pairing of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.
They were the two integral pieces in the league's No. 1-ranked passing attack this season, as Luck threw for 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns while Hilton hauled in 1,345 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches.
New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner acknowledged how difficult it is to stop Hilton when praising his teammate, Kyle Arrington, via Lee Schechter of ESPNBoston.com:
"T.Y. Killer. Two games in a row. That's big because T.Y. is a threat. He poses a threat to anybody across the league.
[Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib] Talib is one of my favorite corners, but that was a tough matchup for him last week. But this guy right here [Arrington] stands up to [Hilton] and matches him well.
"
There will be an interesting twist in the Pro Bowl when trying to stop Hilton because Team Irvin responded by taking cornerback Vontae Davis. The catch is that Davis also plays for the Colts.

Naturally, Davis and Hilton called each other out on Twitter in a friendly but competitive manner:
Granted, Hilton and Davis have probably faced each other countless times in practice, but these types of matchups are what make the new format so intriguing. Rarely do fans get to see current teammates square off in a competitive fashion, and the effort level should be much higher than it used to be during the traditional AFC vs. NFC format.
That's good news for football fans everywhere.
