Cambridge United V Manchester United: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info, Preview
Manchester United will be desperate to avoid being the victims of a momentous FA Cup upset when they take on Cambridge United in the fourth round.
Louis van Gaal’s side have already overcome one lower league team in the competition this season. Second-half goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria secured a 2-0 win at League One club Yeovil Town earlier in January.
Now, League Two opposition, who were stunned to draw United, await the Premier League giants. It is eight years since United have reached the final and they have not won the FA Cup since 2004, per the FA’s official website.

Past connections
The two clubs have only met twice previously in their history, per Soccerbase.com. That came over two legs in the League Cup in the 1991/92 season.

United won 3-0 at Old Trafford in the first leg before a 1-1 draw at Cambridge in the return. Dion Dublin scored in the second leg, per Glenn Moore of The Independent, and he later joined United.
Dublin is not ruling out a shock result at the Abbey Stadium on Friday. He said, per Russell Greaves of Goal.com: “I think Manchester United should win the tie with no problem, but if Cambridge give everything they’ve got and have 11 players playing out of their skin then there may be a surprise.”
Another player with connections to both clubs is Luke Chadwick. He started his career at United, but now plays for Cambridge.

Chadwick is eager for his current team to grab their chance to cause an upset.
“It’s a real opportunity for the players in this squad to show how good they actually are,” said Chadwick, per Matt Phillips of the FA’s official website. “It’s a real once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show the world what Cambridge United are capable of and it’s something that we’ve got to grasp with both hands.”

The match is likely to see United’s recent signing Victor Valdes handed his debut in goal, per Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail.
United manager Van Gaal could also include some of his younger players. Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair and James Wilson all started at Yeovil and should be involved again.
The likes of Herrera and Darren Fletcher will also be pushing for starts, but Van Gaal will ensure his team are strong enough to minimise the risk of a shock.
It’s certainly not going to be an easy night for United. AFC Wimbledon showed in the last round that League Two clubs can push Premier League opposition all the way, especially at home, after a 2-1 defeat by Liverpool.
Providing Van Gaal doesn’t take too many chances with his team selection, then United should have too much class for Cambridge.
But, after United’s scratchy performance at Yeovil in the third round, Cambridge will at least sense an opportunity to put their more illustrious opponents under pressure.
Prediction: Cambridge 1 Manchester United 3
