Patrick Kane Becomes 42nd American with 200 Career Goals
Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane scored his 200th career goal during Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Arizona Coyotes, making him the 42nd American-born player to reach the 200-goal plateau in the NHL, per Sportsnet Stats.
Kane's milestone mark occurred three minutes and 51 seconds into the second period, when Kane fed the puck to Brad Richards on a two-on-two and then cleaned up Richards' rebound to extend Chicago's lead to 3-0.
Patrick Sharp was credited with the second assist on the even-strength goal, giving him a pair of helpers for the game.

Kane finished the night with a goal and two assists, bringing his season totals to a team-high 22 goals and team-high 29 assists.
He's on pace for 39 goals and 52 assists, with the first number representing a career-high mark and the second representing the second-highest assist total of his career, trailing only the 58 he recorded back in 2009-10.
The 26-year-old American set career highs in every key scoring category in 2009-10, finishing with 30 goals and 58 assists for 88 total points. Kane is currently on pace for 91 points and will likely record the second 80-point season of his career, at the very least.
While it's perhaps too soon to have eyes on such a lofty accomplishment, Kane may one day make a run at some of the records set by Mike Modano, who is the NHL's all-time leading scorer among American-born players with 1,374 points.
Sitting at 544 career points through 561 games, Kane is already 39.6 percent of the way there.
