Super Bowl 2015 Date, Location, Kickoff Time, Odds, Logo, Halftime Show Rumors

You're lying if you say you know what's going to happen in Super Bowl XLIX, especially after Championship Game Weekend.

The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks started Sunday's two-game slate with a thriller. Seattle came back from down 16-0 to take the lead before Green Bay forced overtime on a field goal. It took a perfect throw in overtime from Russell Wilson to erase the four interceptions he threw earlier from everyone's memory (at least for now), and the Seahawks now have the chance to be the first back-to-back NFL champions in 10 years.

The last team? The New England Patriots. Tom Brady's bunch pummeled the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 Sunday evening behind strong running from LeGarrette Blount and suffocating defense from Darrelle Revis and Co. But which team has the upper hand heading into the Big Game?

Halftime Show Rumors

Katy Perry will wow the audience during the halftime show. With a deep selection of chart-toppers to choose from, it'll be interesting to see which hits the pop star selects to captivate those in attendance and those stuffing their faces with chili and other snacks between halves.

But what will she play? Ryan Pearson of The Associated Press writes that it'll be what we've come to expect from the bubbly performer: "Perry promised a 12-minute mash-up of her hits, humor, multiple costume changes, at least two distinct 'worlds' and special guests including Lenny Kravitz. She wouldn't comment on reports that she would perform an unreleased song."

No unreleased song? Oh well. But hey, Perry did give Pearson a hint as to what we might hear.

"I'm all about female empowerment and uplifting people's spirits, and people finding their own voice with songs like 'Roar' and 'Firework,' so maybe there is no better person [for the show]," she said. "Hopefully I can bring that incredible strength and empowerment to people through the performance."

Perry herself tweeted out something that one could consider a hint, though I wouldn't take it too seriously:

Fans should know at this point that Perry will deliver a humorous performance. Haven't you seen the "Birthday" music video?

Don't turn away from the TV during the halftime show. It'll be the perfect way to calm you down after a fiery first half of football.

Prediction

SEATTLE, WA - JANUARY 18: Seattle Seahawks fans celebrate with Jermaine Kearse #15 of the Seattle Seahawks after Kearse caught the game winning touchdown in overtime of the 2015 NFC Championship game against the Green Bay Packers at CenturyLink Field on

How in the world can you possibly predict the Super Bowl after Sunday's action?

You can go with the Patriots because they blew Indy out of the water. You could make just as good an argument for choosing the Seahawks, as their grittiness and determination allowed them to come back from seemingly insurmountable odds against the best quarterback in football, Aaron Rodgers.

There's absolutely no way Wilson could play any worse in the Super Bowl. A two-week break should allow him to collect his thoughts, relax and adjust to a new challenge. It'll also help him get back on track with wide receiver Jermaine Kearse. Despite catching the game-winning touchdown in overtime, Kearse was the man targeted on all four of Wilson's picks.

Getting back in sync with his wideouts is imperative for Wilson. The Seahawks defense is tough, but Brady will put points on the board. Assuming this defense yields 20-plus points, Wilson has to be able to put up more.

Brady could also find it easier to pass against the Legion of Boom if Richard Sherman is debilitated in any way. Sherman injured ligaments in his elbow during Sunday's game, but he told Fox Sports' Alex Marvez that he will "100 percent" play in the Super Bowl.

If he's unable to use his left arm (which he didn't for nearly all of the second half against Green Bay), Brady will be able to make throws to that side of his body, forcing him to cross with his right arm. This should knock him off balance. At the very least, the Patriots will look to force contact with him early in the contest.

This game can truly go either way given the myriad factors. For some, it comes down to picking between the old and new regimes of NFL powerhouses.

Given that Sherman might potentially be limited due to his elbow, along with the fact that Seattle barely squeaked by Green Bay, it's hard to pick against the dominant offense of the Patriots right now. Things can change, but for now, the Patriots will likely be Super Bowl champs.

Prediction: New England wins, 24-21
