Manchester United Transfer News: Paulo Dybala and Marquinhos Talks Revealed
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has told Manchester United "we can talk about" the transfer of striker Paulo Dybala during the summer.
Zamparini suggests his 21-year-old star is the subject of much interest from across Europe, as told to Radio Due (h/t Simon Jones of MailOnline): "Dybala is worth over €40 million but I won't sell him until June. Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment."

The Palermo chief previously gave Dybala a huge compliment when suggesting the 21-year-old will become the world's best player in the near future. "Within two years, he's going to be better than Cristiano Ronaldo, (Lionel) Messi and (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic," said Zamparini, per Mediaset (h/t Ben Gladwell of ESPN FC).
Dybala has scored nine goals and provided six assists in 17 Serie A appearances this season, per WhoScored.com. He has netted or set a team-mate up in each of his last eight matches stretching back to Nov. 2, where he kick-started his run with a goal against AC Milan.
Squawka highlighted the creative instincts of the player:
Louis van Gaal has an embarrassment of attacking riches to choose from at United. Even so, the club lacks lightening pace up top, a weakness highlighted when the boss started Angel Di Maria further forward during the recent defeat to Southampton.
Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Radamel Falcao are terrific goalscorers when in form, but none have the turn of speed to worry defenders. Dybala is a quick, technically sound player, as highlighted below:
Van Gaal is expected to invest significant funds in quality and youth across the next two transfer windows.
According to Le 10 Sport (h/t Jamie Sanderson of the Metro), the club has reportedly "opened talks" with Paris Saint-Germain for the £30 million signing of centre-back Marquinhos, who has struggled for first-team appearances this season.
Marquinhos possesses all-round quality and could benefit from working with a tactically demanding manager like Van Gaal.
The Dutchman isn't afraid to provide youngsters with responsibility—hence the arrival of Tyler Blackett, Paddy McNair and James Wilson into United's first-team picture this season—and so could significantly aid Marquinhos' development.

B/R UK's Alex Dimond recently discussed a handful of potential signings for the Red Devils:
Bringing in top quality should be first and foremost for Van Gaal. United don't have time to waste when trying to regain Champions League football and certainly need to pad the squad out with proven quality.
The side is yet to produce a truly memorable performance under its demanding boss despite enjoying an 11-game unbeaten run before defeat to Saints. Although developing prospects, Dybala and Marquinhos have the potential to be superstars and could inject life into a team that currently struggles to push through the gears.
