South Africa vs. West Indies, 3rd T20I: Highlights, Scorecard and Report
South Africa restored some pride after a couple of punishing defeats by claiming a 69-run win over West Indies in the third T20 international in Durban.
A maiden T20I ton from Morne van Wyk was the foundation for South Africa to post 195 for 3.
"Morne van Wyk should've played a lot more white ball cricket for South Africa. Been a quality performer domestically for years.

West Indies, having already clinched the series, went into battle without Chris Gayle and never truly looked like chasing their target down—with David Wiese starring for South Africa with a five-wicket haul.
Van Wyk rode his luck early on as he flashed at a wide delivery and got enough on the ball to just evade the dive of Dwayne Smith who got a hand on the ball but could not hold on.
Smith shelled his second chance of the match in the fifth over; this one was one he should have taken. Carlos Braithwaite found a leading edge off Reeza Hendricks' bat and the ball flew to point. Smith dived and got two hands on the ball but could not hold on.
Salt was rubbed into Braithwaite's wound as Hendricks top-edged the next ball for six, and two balls later Van Wyk clubbed the ball over backward square leg for a maximum.

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy turned to spin, but Ashley Nurse failed to stem the tide as Hendricks picked up two more boundaries.
After the batting powerplay, South Africa were 62 without loss.
Kieron Pollard stemmed the flow by removing Hendricks, who picked out Marlon Samuels at deep midwicket.
While Hendricks departed, Van Wyk ploughed on. He saw Wiese and Rilee Rossouw depart but continued to target every West Indian bowler who stood before him.
And in the final over, be brought up his first T20I century.

For good measure, he helped himself to two further sixes to finish unbeaten on 114 in a team total of 195 for 3.

With no Gayle, who was rested after leading the team to victories in the opening two games, Lendl Simmons was handed a chance at the top of the order.
He started well by taking Marchant de Lange for a four and a six in his opening over, but the South Africa quick responded by pinning Simmons flush on the helmet.
Simmons was not deterred and took out any lingering frustration on Wayne Parnell. In the fourth over of the match, the opener cracked four fours and a six to inject pace into the chase.

With seam disappearing all round the ground, Justin Ontong threw the ball to Aaron Phangiso. The spinner's first delivery brought a wicket, as Smith failed to connect with an ugly heave and lost his leg stump.
Taking pace off the ball proved an astute move for the Proteas. Wiese elected to bowl cutters and the West Indies batsmen found it tough to time the ball.
On 49, Simmons went to hit Wiese over the top, but he did not find the middle of the bat and JP Duminy took a simple catch at long-on.

West Indies had a clutch of big-hitting batsmen down the order, but they simply could not get to grips with the pace of the pitch—and Wiese in particular who was rewarded for a crafty spell of bowling—and the tourists ended up being bowled out with an over to spare.
