Many football fans are already looking ahead to the Super Bowl in a few weeks, but this weekend’s AFC and NFC Championship Game matchups have the potential to exceed the excitement showcased in the Wild Card and divisional rounds.

On the AFC side, the New England Patriots will host the Indianapolis Colts in a battle of present and future all-time great quarterbacks. In the NFC, the superior defense of the Seattle Seahawks will be tested by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers offensive unit.

Team With the Most Dangerous Offensive Weapons: Green Bay Packers

The offensive units that have made it this far in the postseason have proved their ability, but the offense with the most firepower heading into the AFC and NFC Conference Championships is the Green Bay Packers.

Led by veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay finished the regular season as one of the most dynamic offensive units in the league, ranking eighth in passing yards per game (266.3) and 11th in rushing yards per game (119.8.)

While Rodgers played well against the Dallas Cowboys in the Packers' 26-21 divisional-round victory, he was clearly hampered by a calf injury he suffered in the regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions.

The calf injury continues to be a major concern for the Green Bay franchise, but Rodgers spoke to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com about his status for Sunday, saying, “I think I've got 120 minutes left in me. So I'm going to do everything I can to make sure I can play all those minutes.”

Former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar talked about Rodgers' tenacity:

What makes Rodgers so dangerous is the weapons around him. Wide receivers Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams have all come up big at times this season, forcing opposing defenses to pick which players they will leave in single coverage. As seen against Dallas, Adams and Cobb were the top targets, as the Cowboys focused coverage on Nelson.

Another danger opposing defenses must deal with is the bruising style of running back Eddie Lacy. While he is a legitimate threat out of the backfield as a pass-catcher, he is also a powerful runner who can wear down opposing defenses over the course of a game. Lacy racked up 101 rushing yards on 19 carries against Dallas.

The Packers offense will face its toughest test of the year against a red-hot Seattle Seahawks defense, and Rodgers and Co. must be at their best. With Seattle ranked first against the pass and third against the rush in terms of yards allowed per game, Green Bay must be nearly perfect to advance to the Super Bowl.

Sunday’s NFC Championship Game will be a fierce battle, but if Rodgers’ calf isn’t close to 100 percent, the Packers may be heading home early.

Predicted Final Score: Seattle 27, Green Bay 24
