Cristiano Ronaldo Dedicates 2014 Ballon d'Or to Manchester United Fans
Cristiano Ronaldo is turning into quite the tease when it comes to the emotions of the Manchester United fans after he dedicated his most recent Ballon d’Or triumph to the Red Devils supporters.
In this video provided by 101 Great Goals, transcribed by Adam Shergold of the Mail Online, the Real Madrid forward was quick to pay tribute to the fans of his former employers after picking up another award, dedicating the trophy to them “because I know they are supporting me all the time:”

The most recent accolade picked up by the 29-year-old represented the third time in his distinguished playing days that he’s been officially crowned the world’s best player, the first of which came during his spell at Old Trafford in 2008.
Bleacher Report's Janusz Michallik took a look at whether Ronaldo deserved the most recent of his three Ballon d'Or wins:
It’s a time of his career Ronaldo admitted he does look back upon with very fond memories, citing former manager Sir Alex Ferguson as a particularly positive influence:
"The beginning of my career was there, that's where I started. I know the fans are there supporting me. I haven't had a message from Sir Alex yet but I speak with him often.
He told me to keep improving all the time. He said: "Cristiano, you're the best, don't worry about the rest. He's fantastic. I miss him.
"

The United fanbase would surely be in collective favour of seeing Ronaldo back in United red one day and there will be a certain sense of pride from those associated with the club that he’s gone on to scale such magnificent heights.
But any chance of a romantic reunion looks admittedly slim at this juncture, with Ronaldo and Real clearly beset on conquering all before them.
