NFL Playoff Picture 2015: AFC, NFC Championship Odds and Super Bowl Scenarios
Following Sunday's divisional-round action, only four teams remain in the hunt for the Lombardi Trophy. Each of those squads is now only one win away from a coveted Super Bowl berth, as the AFC and NFC Championship Games are next on the postseason slate.
Of course, fans of all four teams are yearning to know the answer to one burning question: Which team will ultimately emerge victorious in Super Bowl XLIX? Well, we can begin to develop the solution to that inquiry by taking a look at every championship scenario and breaking down the matchups.
Although, before we investigate too far into the future, let's first take a look at the odds for both conference championship games and predict a winner for each.

Super Bowl Scenarios
Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots

This is the most probable scenario, as both of these teams have home-field advantage in their respective conference championship games, and if this does turn out to be this year's Super Bowl matchup, we're certainly in for a treat.
Here's something these teams already have in common when it comes to the playoffs, via SportsCenter:
Seattle ended the regular season on an enormous hot streak, holding opponents to seven or fewer points in five of its last six games. While it did allow 17 to the Carolina Panthers in the divisional round, the defensive effort was just as impressive, forcing three turnovers and scoring a touchdown on an interception return.
Offensively, Russell Wilson produced one of his best performances of the season, passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns, as his targets continued to get over the top of Carolina's secondary. Although, that won't fly against New England, as only Baltimore's Torrey Smith managed a reception of longer than 20 yards in the divisional round.
Tom Brady looked as sharp as ever against the Ravens, completing 33 of his 50 passes for 367 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He managed to pick his opponent apart despite a lack of balance on the offensive side of the ball. However, he'll need some help from the backfield in this scenario, as Seattle's ball-hawking secondary will be extremely dangerous if allowed to solely focus on the pass.
Both of these teams play into each other's strengths, which should make a Seahawks vs. Patriots Super Bowl a spectacular event.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Indianapolis Colts

All regular-season statistics and rankings aside, the Indianapolis defense is playing some lights-out football right now. After stifling the Cincinnati Bengals during Wild Card Weekend, the Colts turned around and held the Denver Broncos to just 13 points on Sunday. This team has been extremely solid in the defensive backfield against some very talented weapons.
Here's a very telling statistic, courtesy of NFL Network's Dan Hellie:
The Seahawks may be a run-first team; however, they only managed 3.6 yards per carry in the divisional round against the Panthers. If that number doesn't improve against Indianapolis, Wilson may have a difficult time keeping up with Andrew Luck and Co. via the passing game.
Still, the upper hand in this matchup goes to Seattle. The Colts run an extremely one-dimensional offense, and without any sort of threat at the running back position, Richard Sherman and the Seahawks secondary will be able to sit back and wait for an errant long ball thrown by Luck, a quarterback who has yet to play on such a large stage during his young NFL career.
Advantage: Seahawks
New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers

The doubts about Aaron Rodgers' ability to play through his calf injury should be quelled by now. While the quarterback did have a difficult time moving around, his arm got the job done, as he completed 24 of his 35 passing attempts for 316 yards and three touchdowns for a 125.4 passer rating against the Dallas Cowboys. According to the team's official Twitter account, the quarterback is ready for two more games:
Rodgers can put up points, but the question now surrounds Green Bay's ability to stop opposing offenses.
In the frigid cold of Lambeau Field, Tony Romo managed to complete 15 of his 19 passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns, while DeMarco Murray rushed 25 times for 123 yards, an average of 4.9 yards per carry, and one score. The Cowboys may have only amassed 315 yards of offense on the day, but 6.2 yards per play is quite impressive.
If the Packers face New England, they'll be dealing with an offense that put up 6.4 yards per play on the Ravens, amassing 422 total yards and 29 first downs in the process. While Green Bay's offense is more than capable of putting up gaudy numbers, the defense's inability to keep opponents in check could be a big cause for concern, especially with a hampered Rodgers at the helm.
Advantage: Patriots
Green Bay Packers vs. Indianapolis Colts

This may be the most unlikely Super Bowl scenario, but it could also be the most entertaining. Both of these teams are very efficient in what they do; however, they are more different than they seem.
Green Bay's weakness lies on the defensive side of the ball; that has already been established. However, the Packers have an advantage on offense, as talented running back Eddie Lacy provides a well-balanced attack. The ball-carrier averaged 5.3 yards per carry against Dallas Sunday, resulting in fewer Cowboys sacks and better passing lanes for Rodgers.
Brad Evans of Yahoo Sports tweeted his thoughts on Lacy during Sunday's contest:
Indianapolis' biggest weakness is its one-dimensional offense; however, Luck is certainly good enough to expose Green Bay's secondary. The Colts' advantage comes on the defensive side of the ball, as they have been stifling opponents in the playoffs, denying the long ball and keeping running backs in check. This will force the Packers to pick their way down the field in a more methodical manner.
