Green Bay’s Top Fantasy Producer: Eddie Lacy, RB

Fantasy football owners will look to quarterback Aaron Rodgers first when talking about Green Bay, but do not underestimate the ability and momentum running back Eddie Lacy carries into the divisional round.

Against the vaunted Detroit Lions run defense in the final game of the regular season, Lacy managed to run for 100 yards and managed to add another 26 receiving. Add in the fact that he has amassed at least 100 all-purpose yards in each of the last nine games, and Lacy is one of the most consistent players at the running back position.

When asked about his thoughts on Lacy being the best running back in the postseason, Packers center Corey Linsley told Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “I don't see why not. It's definitely either him or DeMarco Murray. With Eddie, I just see more unbelievable plays. I don't know if anybody breaks as many tackles.”

Dallas has a stellar run defense as well, ranked eighth in the NFL allowing 103.1 yards per game, but the Cowboys allowed 90 yards rushing and a touchdown to a Detroit team not known for its elite ground attack.

With the Green Bay offensive line playing well and Lacy carrying serious momentum into the divisional round, fantasy owners should look to get the Packers running back in the lineup and expect a huge statistical day.

Predicted Stat Line: 22 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown; two receptions for 15 yards.

Dallas’ Top Fantasy Producer: Dez Bryant, WR

The battle for the top fantasy producer from the Dallas Cowboys will come down to running back DeMarco Murray and wide receiver Dez Bryant. While both are safe bets, take the educated risk and ride with Bryant.

Bryant was held to only three receptions for 48 yards in the Wild Card round against the Lions, but he had a very strong second half of the regular season and finished the year with 16 receiving touchdowns, a new Dallas single-season record.

ESPN’s NFL Twitter account pointed out a strong connection between Tony Romo and Bryant:

Green Bay’s secondary has been much better this season—finishing the year ranked 10th in passing yards, allowing 226.4 per game—but Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons laid out the blueprint for success in Week 14 when he racked up 11 receptions for 259 yards and a touchdown.

If the Cowboys target Bryant early and often against the Packers’ smaller cornerbacks, the receiver should be able to amass an impressive stat line. Bryant will also need quarterback Romo to play at an elite form as well, but that hasn’t been an issue so far this postseason.

Predicted Stat Line: 10 receptions for 130 yards and one touchdown.
