Wednesday Update

Wednesday's action saw plenty of high-scoring matches, with four or more goals scored in no less than four fixtures. Arsenal and Liverpool both came away with wins, beating Borussia Dortmund and Ludogorets Razgrad, respectively.
Oluwaseyi Ojo scored twice for the Reds in Bulgaria and Jerome Sinclair scored his fifth in five matches to give Liverpool an easy win over Ludogorets, keeping the team in the running for a ticket to the knockout stages.
Liverpool's official Twitter feed shared the final score:
The hosts, who still haven't recorded a single point in this year's edition, had no interest in playing any form of possession game on Wednesday, and their defensive resolve was broken by Ojo after just 26 minutes.
Sinclair doubled the lead in the 58th minute, and the Bulgarians never appeared likely to work their way back from the deficit. Ojo's second late in the match was little more than icing on the cake.
The Reds are now tied on points with Real Madrid, who lost 3-2 in Basel, and their fate will be decided on the final matchday, when they host the Swiss group leaders.
Los Blancos and Basel played out one of the craziest matches of the competition so far, scoring three goals in three minutes to put the entire fixture on its head. A red card for Real's Benjamin Kuscevic ultimately made the difference, as shared by Real Madrid TV's Phil Kitromilides:
A single goal from Stephy Mavididi early in the second half was enough to give Arsenal a 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund, per the club's official Twitter feed:
The Gunners dominated the match on a poor pitch which greatly hindered their typically fast passing game, but despite a host of chances (and a disallowed goal), the hosts could only put one goal past their German opponents.
Mavididi's close-range header was enough to preserve the win, however, and Arsenal will play Galatasaray for the second ticket to the knockout stages in Group D on the final matchday.
Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain had no interest in playing defence on Wednesday, playing out a ridiculous 6-3 encounter in favour of the Dutch side. As shared by Bleacher Report's Jonathan Johnson, one man in particular shone for the visitors:
The win sees Ajax lock up the top seed in Group F, while PSG will go head-to-head with defending champions Barcelona with qualification on the line.
Juventus' 2-2 draw against Malmo means the Italians can no longer progress to the next round, while Zenit St. Petersburg's 5-1 thrashing of Benfica means all teams in Group C are still alive heading into the final round of fixtures.
Tuesday Update

Chelsea suffered their first loss of the tournament in Germany, losing 2-0 to Schalke 04 to keep the race for the top spot in Group G alive. Both teams are tied on points going into the final matchday, so there will be plenty to play for.
Maurice Multhaup was the big hero for the hosts, scoring both of Schalke's goals in the second half. The Germans were the first team to truly dominate the Blues in terms of possession all tournament, and their aggressiveness ultimately paid off on the scoreboard.
The result means both clubs are now tied at 12 points, with Chelsea holding the tie-breaker thanks to a superior head-to-head record, via the club's Twitter feed:
The Blues will host Sporting Lisbon on December 10 with only one thing in mind—matching Schalke's result:
Barcelona came into Tuesday's fixture against Group F minnows APOEL trailing Ajax and Paris Saint-Germain in the standings, and it took a goal from Alex Corredera in the 82nd minute to ensure the Blaugrana have a chance at qualifying heading into the final matchday. AS English shared the final score:
Isaac Padilla had given the visitors the early lead, but APOEL made a shocking comeback through Georgios Christodoulou and Christos Kallis. With their backs against the wall, the Catalans finally found a breakthrough with less than 15 minutes left to play, equalising via Amir Natkho.
A late surge forward gave Corredera the chance to win it for the visitors, setting up a massive showdown with PSG on the final matchday.
AS Roma have impressed in their Youth League debut, and a 2-0 win over CSKA Moscow ensured qualification for Alberto De Rossi's troops on Tuesday, as shared by the club's official Twitter feed:
The manager expressed how proud he was in his squad after the match:
It took until the 77th minute for Lorenzo Di Livio to open the score, and Daniele Verde doubled the visitors' advantage from the penalty spot 11 minutes later. The hosts ended the match with 10 players, after Elgyun Ulukhanov was dismissed for his second bookable offence.
Bayern Munich came into Tuesday's round of fixtures in need of a result to have any hopes of surviving the group stages, but instead, they received a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of undefeated Manchester City. Bersant Celina and Jack Byrne each grabbed a brace, while Tosin Adarabioyo and Brandon Barker also chipped in goals, capping off a dominant performance for the Citizens.
Anderlecht ensured themselves of the top spot in Group D with a 2-0 win over Galatasaray. The match was suspended within the opening minutes when Turkish fans threw flares on the pitch and remained, but after a 15-minute break, officials decided to continue.
Liverpool and Arsenal will both be battling for one of the last tickets to the next round when action resumes on Wednesday.
