Winners and Losers from Bundesliga Week 10
Bayern Munich continue to march on relentlessly at the top of the Bundesliga.
Pep Guardiola's charges maintain their four-point lead after Thomas Muller bagged a hat-trick in an emphatic 4-0 win in Frankfurt.
Find out more winners and losers from Week 10, including (finally) some good news for Jurgen Klopp and beleaguered Borussia Dortmund.
Winner: Jurgen Klopp / Borussia Dortmund
1 of 11
Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund side moved out of the relegation zone with a precious 1-0 home win against high-flying Borussia Monchengladbach.
Dortmund broke a run of five straight league defeats, climbing up to 15th place—just nine points from a Champions League qualification spot.
Winner: Jonas Hector
2 of 11
The 24-year-old Cologne defender Jonas Hector received his first call-up to the national squad for the qualifier against Gibraltar and a friendly four days later against Spain.
Hector is set to become Cologne's first German international since Lukas Podolski and rounded off an excellent week as the Rhinelanders edged Hoffenheim in a seven-goal thriller.
Winner: Roberto Firmino
3 of 11
Roberto Firmino is another Bundesliga star set to finally receive international recognition.
Hoffenheim slipped to their first home defeat of the season (4-3 against Cologne) despite a Firmino brace.
At least the Brazilian has the consolation of a deserved first-ever call-up to the Selecao squad for the forthcoming friendlies in Turkey and Austria.
Loser: Armin Veh
4 of 11
VfB Stuttgart languish at the bottom of the Bundesliga after a 2-0 defeat at Werder Bremen.
A league winner in 2007, under-fire coach Armin Veh is enduring a torrid second spell in charge of VfB.
Stuttgart have shipped 25 goals in 11 games and have the worst defensive record in the league.
Winner: Tobias Werner
5 of 11
Augsburg moved up to the seventh spot after Tobias Werner grabbed a brace.
Werner scored in each half as Augsburg easily breezed past promoted Paderborn (3-0), in a first-ever top-tier clash between two of the more unfashionable Bundesliga sides.
Winner: Jerome Boateng
6 of 11
Bayern Munich's defensive rock Jerome Boateng became the first ever player to remain undefeated in 50 successive Bundesliga games.
"Yes!!! Personal #Bundesliga record! 50 unbeaten #BL games in a row! Thanks to my teammates! #SGEFCB #FCBayern #JB17 pic.twitter.com/zKkM7E9UHz

The German international snatched the record from previous holder and team-mate Franck Ribery.
Loser: Roberto Di Matteo
7 of 11
It didn't take too long for current boss Roberto Di Matteo to replace predecessor Jens Keller in the regular Schalke slide.
The Royal Blues slipped to a third successive away league defeat at struggling Freiburg, further heaping the pressure on the beleaguered ex-Chelsea coach after a disappointing midweek defeat in the Champions League in Lisbon.
Winner: Viktor Skripnik
8 of 11
One coaching change which has had the desired positive effect is in Bremen.
Former Werder legend Viktor Skripnik has won all three games since taking over from Robin Dutt a couple of weeks ago.
Bremen also moved off the foot of the table after a comfortable 2-0 home win against struggling Stuttgart.
Winner: Kevin De Bruyne
9 of 11
VfL Wolfsburg are Bayern Munich's nearest challengers after a routine 2-0 win in the North Derby against Hamburg. The Wolves have won six league games on the trot.
Ex-Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne laid on both goals (for Ivica Olic and Aaron Hunt), and the Belgian now has a league-high nine assists.
Loser: Christoph Kramer
10 of 11
Christoph Kramer scored the only goal of the game in the clash of the Borussias—Monchengladbach versus Dortmund.
Unfortunately for the World Cup winner, it was at the wrong end as Monchengladbach slumped to their first defeat in 18 games.

Winner: Thomas Muller
11 of 11
Thomas Muller bagged a stunning hat-trick in Bayern Munich's 4-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 25-year-old German international opened the scoring on 22 minutes via his knee and added two more within 160 seconds of each other in the second half as Bayern cruised clear at the top.
Muller doubled his goal tally and is now joint top scorer with six. Bayern have never lost in the Bundesliga with him on the score sheet, racking up 47 wins and three draws.
