Redskins vs. Cowboys: Stat Predictions for Top Fantasy Stars
When the Washington football team faces the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, there will be plenty of NFC East and playoff implications. But perhaps more importantly, more than a few folks will have their fantasy matchups on the line.
So what can you expect from tonight? Will your player shine or disappoint? Let's make some projections for the evening's relevant fantasy options.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
| Tony Romo | Dallas Cowboys | 250 | 2 | 1 |
| Colt McCoy | Washington | 230 | 2 | 3 |
We're certainly not going to pretend like Colt McCoy is a "fantasy star," or even a terribly viable fantasy quarterback. Still, McCoy played pretty well in relief duty for Kirk Cousins, finishing 11-of-12 for 128 passing yards and a touchdown. No, he's not going to take a ton of shots down the field, but look for him to find DeSean Jackson deep at least once.
Expect a few turnovers, too. Journeymen quarterbacks are generally journeymen quarterbacks for a reason.
As for Romo, he should have a very nice night against a Washington defense giving up 20.9 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, tied for worst in the NFL coming into the week. Romo owners can sit back and enjoy a solid evening from the quarterback.
Running Backs
| DeMarco Murray | Dallas Cowboys | 101 | 15 | 1 |
| Alfred Morris | Washington | 65 | 4 | 0 |
DeMarco Murray will rush for 100 or more yards. That's a prediction that has been right seven out of seven times this season thus far for folks who made it, so why stray here?
The Cowboys are committed to running the ball. They have an offensive line that is mauling people on the line of scrimmage this year. Outside of maybe Arian Foster, no running back is playing better than Murray at the moment. He's easy money for fantasy owners.

Alfred Morris is a trickier call. He has a grand total of 12 fantasy points in his past three games, and the Cowboys allow just 13.1 fantasy points to opposing running backs, eighth in the NFL. Morris is starting to resemble a player who will need to get into the end zone to have fantasy relevance. Don't expect it to happen tonight.
Wide Receivers
| Dez Bryant | Dallas Cowboys | 105 | 1 |
| Terrance Williams | Dallas Cowboys | 62 | 1 |
| DeSean Jackson | Washington | 81 | 1 |
| Pierre Garcon | Washington | 75 | 0 |
Washington has allowed 20 or more total fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in five of seven games this year, and they've also allowed four touchdowns to the position in the past two weeks. With Washington having to pick their poison between the running game and passing game in this one, Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams should have their opportunities on the outside.
Expect each to reach the end zone.
Washington's wide receivers are going to have to make plays on the outside as well, and you'd guess that D-Jax would be good for at least one deep strike down the field. Pierre Garcon should be utilized frequently as well, though his two-game touchdown streak will come to an end in this one.
Tight Ends
| Jason Witten | Dallas Cowboys | 50 | 0 |
| Jordan Reed | Washington | 87 | 1 |
Jason Witten is an excellent blocker, but that's become far more important than his ability as a receiver in the Cowboys offense this year. Witten has yet to reach the end zone this season—don't expect him to double that output.

Meanwhile, the one position the Cowboys have struggled against is tight ends, allowing 12 fantasy points to the position per week, 31st in the NFL coming into the week. Tight ends are often the best friend of young quarterbacks and backups, so don't be surprised if McCoy leans on Jordan Reed heavily this week.
