Thursday, Oct. 2 Recap
Just one match was left to play on Thursday, as Anderlecht recorded a stunning upset won over Borussia Dortmund, winning 5-0.
Leya Iseka opened the score from the spot after just seven minutes and doubled the Belgian's advantage in the 30th minute. Dortmund had the chance to pull one back, but top talent Mile Svilar pulled off an excellent save to deny Oguzhan Aydogan from the penalty spot.
Anderlecht's Twitter feed shared an image of the save:
Things got even worse for Die Schwarzgelben, when golkkeeper Dominik Reiman was given a straight red in the 40th minute. Enjoying the man advantage, the hosts ran all over Borussia in the second half. Frank Mikal made it 3-0, and just minutes later Nils Dietz saw his second yellow card, reducing the visitors to just nine players.
Alhassane Bah and Samy Bourard put the final score on the board, as the Belgian underdogs got to celebrate a mighty victory.
Wednesday, Oct. 1 Recap
Arsenal cruised to an easy 5-1 win over Galatasaray in Wednesday's UEFA Youth League action, easily handling the Turkish side to take top spot in Group D.
Furkan Kopuz scored deep in added time to give the visitors a consolation prize after a difficult afternoon that saw the Gunners dominate from start to finish. Gedion Zelalem scored a wonderful goal after a long solo effort in the first half, as shared by the club's Twitter feed:
Galatasaray struggled to make it out of their own half and were lucky to be down by just the single goal headed into half-time, but when Kaylen Hinds doubled the hosts' advantage early in the second half, the floodgates opened.
Christopher Willock scored soon after and Daniel Crowley made it four from the penalty spot, before Willock bagged his second of the match.
Arsenal will hold the lead in Group B for at least a day, as Borussia Dortmund will visit Anderlecht on Thursday.
Liverpool held a 2-1 lead with less than five minutes left on the clock but somehow managed to concede twice in the dying stages, losing 3-2 in Basel. Albian Ajeti and Cedric Itten turned the situation around for the hosts, who took the lead through Itten early in the first half.
Liverpool's Twitter feed was disappointed with the way the end of the match played out:
Jerome Sinclair scored in the span of minutes in the second half to give the Reds a deserved lead, having dominated most of the match. Basel's late push proved too much for Liverpool, however, who will lose ground on group leaders Real Madrid.
Los Blancos had no issues getting past Ludogorets, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Jose Carlos Lazo (2) and Cristian Cedres.
Atletico Madrid fired a total of 17 shots on Juventus' goal but only found the back of the net once through Roberto Nunez, though that was enough to see off the challenge of the Italian giants:
Monaco remain the surprise team in Group C after a convincing 3-0 win over Zenit St. Petersburg, while Bayer Leverkusen's struggles continued against Benfica Lisbon. The German hosts controlled the match until Joao Carvalho was given far too much space to score twice in three minutes, seizing momentum for his squad.
Tuesday, Sept. 30 Recap
Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the Youth League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Roma, steadily building on last week's victory over Bayern Munich and increasing their chances of Group E advancement.
Francesco Di Mariano opened the scoring for the visitors, but as confirmed by Roma's official Twitter account, Jules Ntcham and Thierry Ambrose struck back to earn the home team a vital victory over strong opposition:
Bayern, meanwhile, were left disappointed in the Russian capital, where despite having an equal—if not superior—goal threat, they were left embarrassed 3-1 by CSKA Moscow.
Bundesliga writer Clark Whitney sees the positive side of the result, however, arguing that a concentration on more senior competitions is the right method:
Things were slightly more drab in Group F, where Apoel Nicosia and Ajax saw out a 0-0 stalemate in Cyprus whereas a 2-2 draw between Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona had more twists and turns to it.
And in the end, PSG will have been disappointed with the point considering it took a 98th-minute equaliser from Mohamed El Ouriachi to grab Barca the draw, as BT Sport's Julien Laurens illustrated:
From the goal-light to the goal-heavy, and in Group G, there were no less than 10 goals scored on Tuesday, with Chelsea and Schalke accounting for five apiece in their wins over Sporting Lisbon and Maribor, respectively.
Those results mean it's all things blue at the top of their pool, Chelsea leading by three points and their goal difference improving substantially thanks to that away demolition.

BATE Borisov remain the only team in Group H yet to claim a point after losing 2-1 at home to Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday, while Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
Gorka Guruzeta opened the scoring inside 33 minutes for Athletic before Artur Tishko tied matters up to make things interesting, equalising on 70 minutes.
It was another substitute who would restore order and win it for the Basque giants, however, as Asier Villalibre netted just three minutes before time.
