EPL Table: Updated Premier League Standings, Fixtures, Title Odds After Week 6
Week 6 of the 2014-15 Premier League campaign was a fine time to be playing in front of a home crowd as only one away team managed to walk away with three points in tow.
Stoke City and Newcastle United will face one another on Monday evening in an attempt to rumble the top-flight standings, but the biggest action this weekend has already helped in shaking matters up.
Wins for Chelsea, Southampton and Manchester City ensure those outfits maintain a smooth stride, but derby points dropped for Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton have altered the title odds significantly.

Chelsea
A home tie against Arsenal next Sunday may pose a threat to Chelsea's dominant record of late, but as things stand, it continues to be a case of clear sailing under blue skies for Jose Mourinho's men.

Six games into the Premier League season and the west Londoners remain unbeaten, their 3-0 win at Villa Park on Saturday as comfortable a victory as the Blues could have hoped for.
So pleased is Roman Abramovich with his squad, in fact, that the Daily Mail's Neil Ashton (h/t ESPN's James Tyler) revealed significant rewards for their hard work:
The gap at the top remains three points, not yet a decisive margin by any means, but one can only imagine it will build as other squads drop off.
It seems only a case of whether or not Chelsea's stars can maintain fitness at this point, and even then there are equally gifted talents waiting to fill in where needed.
Southampton
The Cinderella tale of this season so far just continues to go from strength to strength as Southampton claimed another win on Saturday, this time edging Queens Park Rangers 2-1 at St. Mary's.
The win is especially meaningful after the Saints beat Arsenal out of the Capital One Cup earlier in the week, the club's official Twitter account revealing the extent of their streak:
What's more, per the Premier League, it makes for arguably the club's best start to a season to date, Ronald Koeman showing a potential to steer the side beyond that of what Mauricio Pochettino achieved:
Can this tempo be kept up for an entire campaign? History, and indeed logic, would suggest not, with injuries likely to take hold eventually and the depth of other teams taking their place as a result.
For now, though, the south-coast outfit sit just three points off the top, and look to be a dark horse worth keeping more than one eye on.
Manchester United
Six games down and only now have Manchester United brought their Premier League win tally up to two this season, managing to beat West Ham 2-1 on Saturday.

Their afternoon was made substantially more difficult when captain Wayne Rooney was sent off for a pointless tackle in the second period, showing qualities not of the sort one would expect from a supposed leader figure.
And once again, defence was shown to be a susceptible area in the win, a point former Dutch international Ruud Gullit touched upon in his De Telegraaf column this weekend, per the Daily Mail's Rob Draper:
"How on earth is it possible that such an experienced and successful manager [Louis van Gaal] thought he could start the season at Man United without buying a couple of really strong central defenders? I am still amazed by his buying and his transfers. If you only strengthen the midfield and the attack, than you are underestimating the level and the power of the Premier League.
If you want to survive in the top flight of English football you start with the foundation and you build the roof of your house last. Van Gaal has done it the other way round. After the departure of Nemanja Vidic to Inter, and Rio Ferdinand to QPR it was obvious that new central defenders were needed. And he had 200 million in his chequebook to spend. If you don’t use part of that to buy strong, experienced central defenders you have the wrong idea about the Premier League.
"
On that evidence, Gullit certainly wouldn't appear to be of the impression that United can challenge for title honours this season, with the Red Devils now in seventh, eight points behind leaders Chelsea.
That being said, the win over the Hammers was a useful one, and with a better understanding of formation, the pieces of United's puzzle may be coming together, bit by bit.
