Manchester United Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo Offer Reportedly Prepared
Manchester United "have got an offer prepared" for the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Sky Sports' resident Spanish football expert and B/R UK guest columnist Guillem Balague.
Rumours surrounding the player's potential return have intensified alongside suggestions Ronaldo is unhappy at the Bernabeu, and that he may feel last season's Champions League win fulfils his quest in the Spanish capital. Balague recently spoke to Revista de la Liga about the iconic No. 7's possible Red Devils reunion, per Sky Sports:
"He has this idea, I think, that at Real Madrid he is doing a job and he is working, but he enjoyed himself almost like a kid at Manchester United. He dreams of going back to Manchester United and Manchester United have got all the finances in place to get him. When will that be? It depends, of course, on a lot of things. It depends on Real Madrid and on Cristiano himself.
"

Balague says Ronaldo has "a pretty good idea of when he wants to go," saying the forward won't leave "this month or next month, but he wants to go back to Manchester United and everything is in place for him to return to Old Trafford." The pundit also highlighted the Premier League side "have got an offer prepared" in a Q&A session with his readers, per Sky Sports' website.
B/R UK posted snippets of newspaper coverage surrounding Ronaldo on Twitter:
Such tidbits of information will have the minds of United fans racing. Ronaldo's legacy saw him win three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups, Community Shield, Champions League and UEFA Club World Cup while at the Theatre of Dreams. Although United have found domestic success since he left, last year's seventh-place finish underlines a year to forget.
Recent signings Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria are among those who have been brought in to ensure this doesn't happen again. While many questioned whether United could attract world-class players without European football, Ed Woodward, Louis van Gaal and the board obliterated these claims during the recent transfer window.

Sky Sports pundit and former United right-back Gary Neville believes such transfers will help bring Ronaldo back to the club, per the aforementioned website. "You'd have to say that with what they've done with Di Maria and Falcao it's more possible [Ronaldo will return], it has to be, because they've shown the real intent to go and sign world-class players."
Ronaldo is a goal-driven player who likes to take on new challenges. He moved on from United after confirming his "ultimate achievement" of winning the Champions League with the club. He has now helped Madrid reach the fabled land of La Decima, having already won La Liga and the Copa del Rey as the centrepiece of an ever-changing team.
With Van Gaal installed as boss of a United side that needs rejuvenating, Ronaldo may be tempted to focus his final career goal on thrusting the English club back to success. United, after all, propelled the Portuguese player to international stardom after signing him from Sporting Lisbon.
He is loved like a god at Old Trafford and continues to be sung about inside the stadium, despite the plethora of new names recently making their debuts. He could easily move to the club's coaching staff once his playing career is finished, similar to Ryan Giggs and other United legends.

Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes Ronaldo has become irritated by the club's decision to sell important players, something United have capitalised on recently. Calderon made his comments to talkSPORT (h/t ESPN):
"My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president [Florentino Perez]. When he came [to Real Madrid] with [Arjen] Robben he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team [Robben was later sold].
Two years ago, it was [Gonzalo] Higuain that was sold, and he didn't like that. Last year, he thought it was a mistake to let [Mesut] Ozil leave - and the last straw was selling Alonso and Di Maria this summer.
"
Things seem to be falling in place for Ronaldo's return. In many ways, United's recent failures may offer a more attractive proposition to the Ballon d'Or winner. He could return and significantly aid the club's revival, highlighting his heroic status at the club. This has to be more tempting than returning to a team already at the top of its game.
United fans will certainly be monitoring Madrid's success this season and may hope to see the team's current two-game losing streak continue if it brings Ronaldo closer to a move. He has achieved all he reasonably can at the Bernabeu, meaning a United reunion shouldn't be discounted. For the first time since Ronaldo left, it feels as if the situation is right for him to once again take the Premier League by storm.
