Ajax vs. PSG: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Ajax will open their 2014-15 UEFA Champions League account when they host Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday, in what should be one of the best and most competitive matches of Week 1.
Both clubs have a rich European history and comfortably won their country's respective titles in the 2013-14 season, and entering Europe's premier club competition, expectations will be high for either side.
PSG will open the fixture as slight favourites, but the Amsterdam Arena gives the hosts a daunting advantage and Frank de Boer's young squad loves to go into ties as the underdog.

Police will be out in force in Wednesday as two of Europe's most feared groups of supporters will clash in the Netherlands—according to Le Parisien (h/t to Bleacher Report's Jonathan Johnson), French hooligans are already mobilising to make the trip:
Fans will hope the battle stays on the pitch, and what a battle it should be. The hosts rebounded from consecutive defeats with a close 2-1 win over Heracles Almelo on Saturday, thanks to two goals from 20-year-old Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik.
The win brought Ajax back into the Eredivisie top five in what has been a roller coaster season for the Dutch champions, but the players remain confident they'll have a strong chance against their French opponents.
Davy Klaassen displayed the typical Dutch confidence when asked, as shared by AjaxDaily:
"Klaassen believes Ajax stands a chance against PSG: "Beating Barcelona last year gave a lot of confidence." #ajax

The squad is young, talented and primarily made up of players from the Netherlands or Northern Europe, including Lasse Schone, who seems to have forged an early connection with the on-loan Milik.
By contrast, PSG's squad is a collection of stars and young talent with world-class potential, and the club is being widely typed as a strong candidate to make the leap and join the true elite of European football in 2014-15.
Les Parisiens haven't looked overly convincing in recent weeks, playing out disappointing draws against Evian Thonon and Stade Rennais. The Champions League is a whole other animal, however, and PSG have the advantage of fielding a former Ajax player. Gregory van der Wiel told Le Parisien what to expect, via Johnson:
The French champions are still without Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva, and the defence has struggled in his absence. David Luiz also didn't feature during the weekend, and the duo of Marquinhos and Zoumana Camara is an area of weakness the hosts will be looking to exploit.
According to L'Equippe, via Johnson, Edinson Cavani and Lucas Moura should be fit for action, however:
Given PSG's wealth of attacking options and depleted resources in the centre of the defence, the visitors will likely attempt to control the pace of the game and pin Ajax back inside their own half.
The hosts have the athletic ability to be a threat on the counter-attack, however, and their tendency to push high could present a real challenge for Les Parisiens.
