2014 NFL Draft: Day 3 Picks That Will Make Biggest Immediate Impact
Day 3 picks in the NFL draft can have a huge impact in the NFL. Just take a look at stars like the New England Patriots' Tom Brady, New Orleans Saints' Marques Colston and others.
Late-round picks sometimes just need to find the right system and an opportunity to shine. The following three players are in a great position to prove that big contributors can come from the final day of the draft.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Pierre Desir hails from tiny Lindenwood College, but at 6'1", 198 pounds, he has the frame to be a solid press coverage corner back in the NFL.
The Browns took him in the fourth round, and they might have found a steal.
Bleacher Report's Ryan Riddle lauds Cleveland's selection:
Desir's ball skills are top notch. Though he wasn't playing against Division I talent, he did have 10 interceptions in 2013, per ESPN.com.
In an era with big receivers, long and rangy players like Desir are invaluable in coverage.
Brock Vereen, FS: Chicago Bears

It took a little while, but the Bears finally addressed the free safety position. Vereen's speed and versatility will allow him to play as a nickel corner or at free safety.
Vereen turned some heads with his performance at the NFL combine. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and bench pressed 225 pounds 25 times.
Per Cary Osborne of Signal SCV Sports, here's what Vereen had to say about his athletic display:
“Going in, I knew the combine would be a tremendous opportunity for me. Looking back at it, I passed that test."
That's an understatement. Showing elite speed and power might have made the Bears believe Vereen could step right in and play at a high level for the team.
Because the team took Virginia Tech's Kyle Fuller in the first round, Vereen's best chance to play early would probably be at free safety.
Chicago was dreadful at the position in 2013. Vereen has a legitimate shot at winning the job from Chris Conte and M.D. Jennings in 2014.
Andre Williams, RB: New York Giants

Big, powerful backs like Andre Williams just seem ideal for the Giants organization. This is especially a good spot for Williams because no back has really established himself in New York as the feature back.
David Wilson has great speed, but he hasn't been consistent.
Even if he can be more dependable, Williams figures to be an excellent change-of-pace back for head coach Tom Coughlin to go to.
It'll likely help to keep both backs fresh and take some pressure off Eli Manning and the passing game.
In 2013, Williams was in the running for the Heisman Trophy most of the season. He led the nation in rushing with 2,177 yards. Williams also added 18 rushing touchdowns.
Giants fans should be thrilled he's joining the squad.
