How Will Round 1 Shake Out?

Although there are plenty of gems to be had in Rounds 2-7, the question on everyone's mind is where the marquee prospects will land on Thursday night.
Will Jadeveon Clowney go No. 1 overall? Will Johnny Manziel be the first quarterback taken?
The big concern surrounding Clowney was his work ethic, which he addressed at his pro day last month, per SI.com's Chris Burke:
"I think my work ethic’s pretty good. You’re getting a hard worker and a guy who’s great in the locker room and who wants to win. Football’s about winning. I hope everybody around me wants to win, too. That’s what I bring.
"
While draft experts appear to have reached a consensus on Clowney being the best player available, the jury is still out on Manziel. ESPN draft gurus Mel Kiper and Todd McShay each have the former Heisman Trophy winner going No. 4 overall to the Cleveland Browns. However, NFL Network analyst and former general manager Charley Casserly doesn't even have Manziel coming off the board in Round 1.
You can certainly make a case for each side, but the information swirling around the league seems to point toward Manziel being a first-round pick this spring, per ESPN's Chris Mortensen, via Adam Schefter:
Clemson's Sammy Watkins, Buffalo's Khalil Mack and Central Florida's Blake Bortles project to be the other stars of Round 1. But it only takes one surprise trade or head-scratching selection to shake up the entire order.
Which Sleepers Will Come off the Board on Days 2-3?

There'll be plenty of surprises on Day 1, but with twice as many names set to come off the board on Day 2, there'll be a handful of sleepers entering the league on Friday.
The question: who?
Towson running back Terrance West is a name to watch for. A power back with excellent lateral agility, West rushed for more than 2,500 yards and 41 touchdowns in 2013, leading the Tigers to an appearance in the FCS National Championship Game.
CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora discussed West's improving draft stock following his pro day on April 7:
"In what is a down year for running backs during a time in which many teams would gladly swap out a high-priced veteran for a youngster with less tread and a significantly lesser salary, West continues to draw a buzz.
"
Eastern Illinois' Jimmy Garoppolo is another FCS star to keep an eye out for. Garoppolo won the Walter Payton Award in 2013 (awarded to the most outstanding offensive player in the FCS), throwing for more than 5,000 yards and 53 touchdowns.

Although neither player is a lock to have his name called in Rounds 2 or 3, each could turn out to be Day 2 steals. And if they fall to Day 3, they'll become even bigger value picks for some lucky teams.
NFL fans will have to wait at least a few months and possibly a few seasons before discovering which 2014 picks turned out to be sleepers, but all 32 franchises will be hoping they can make that distinction before they find themselves on the clock.
