Allsports thinks Peter Zezel will be missed by Many
If your looking for sports on the web or follow sports in the print or television media you will likely be aware that Peter Zezel passed away on Tuesday May 26 2009 after a long battle with a rare blood disorder. He was 44 years old.
I did not know Mr Peter Zezel personally, all I remember was that he was a great two way center for the Toronto Maple Leafs, during their cup runs in 1992-93 and 1993-94. It was said that to know him was to like him, he was one of those rare people with and infectious personality where he made people fell better just by having talked to him.

Peter played for seven different teams during his 15 year NHL playing career and leaves behind a legacy of many hearts that he touched through those travels. He will be missed not only by the hockey community but by his family and many friends that he made during his relatively short time on this planet earth.
After his playing career ended in 1988-89, Peter concentrated his efforts on giving back to the Don Mills community where he himself grew up. He coached both youth hockey and soccer. Another sport which he excelled at.
Peter Zezel, left this planet far too early but as the Bill Joel song goes, “Only the Good Die Young”. Peter Zezel dead at 44, hopefully some of his spirit will rub off on many others.
