Can the Jaguars Coach Themselves Back To Prominence?
As the 2008 season came to an end Head Coach Jack Del Rio was faced with another challenge. He had to figure out what went wrong and fix it. In his evaluation of the team and coaching staff it was determined changes were needed. This is nothing new for Del Rio as coach’s flow through Jacksonville as often and mall doors open.
In 09 Del Rio hired six new coaches’s whose positions range from Defensive Coordinator to Assistant Strength Coach. The new staff along with the 08 returning staff has a difficult task ahead of them. They must find a way to return the team to the level it was in 07.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Jaguars coaching staff possesses the experience and knowledge to improve the team from 08. The new coaches brought in were successful in their previous roles with other organizations and most came from winning franchises. In that scenario Del Rio sees this as an opportunity to influx the team with new ideas.
In order to do this Del Rio plans to work closely with new Defensive Coordinator Mel Tucker, Ted Monachino, Mark Duffner, and Cory Undlin to improve the defenses ability to stop the run, improve pass coverage, and pressure the quarterback, something the team lacked in 08.
Other coaches who will play an important role in 09 are Offensive Coordinator Dirk Koetter, MikeTice, Andy Heck, Kenny Pola, Mike Shula and Luke Richesson. All except Richesson are offensive coaches, who have the task of improving the Jaguars ability to better manage the game. Of this group Mike Shula-Quarterbacks Coach must work with quarterback David Garrard to improve his decision making skills and game management. Running Backs coach Kenny Pola also has to find a second option to Jones-Drew as running the ball is an important part of the Jaguars offense.
So, will the 09 coaching changes bring better results than previous ones? Will more turn-over equal more wins, or are the Jaguars destined for more seasons like 08?
The Jaguars hope not.
