How To Play T20 Cricket

Vishrut AggarwalMay 28, 2009

Hit out or get out! Keep on hitting sixes and fours. Don't care about your wicket. This is what T20 is all about. Do you agree? No I disagree.

I thought that T20 was supposed to be played as stated above but I was wrong. I only corrected myself when I saw the IPL matches. So let us learn how to play T20.

What is a good score in T20? I suppose anything around 150-160 should be good. So to achieve this score you have to strategies your game-play. We all know that in every game some batsmen perform poorly and some do well. Their are very few games in which all the batsmen perform well. So keeping in mind that it is not an exceptional game we should understand how to play it.

According to me the openers and also the other batsmen should save their wickets and play moderately. They should not just concentrate on thrashing the bowling attack in forms of boundaries.

The batsman should start playing slowly and once well settled he should start smashing. But how should he start playing is the question. He should keep stealing singles and doubles and hitting a few fours ans sixes. When he is well settled then he can just smash and make a good score and give his wicket away in the end.

Most batsmen try to smash from the very beginning and lose their wicket. So I thought I'd write this article to give them some advice.

Please don't misjudge my article. I have not said that batsmen should never smash when they come in to bat. When their are only a few overs left then the batsmen can just smash as soon as they come and score as many runs as possible.
