Favourite Pick: Conduct
In a field of 23 runners, it's Conduct who stands out as favourite heading into Doncaster's meet, but it's not by a large margin in what's bound to be an open race.
The gelding is one of only three six-year-olds in the race but has been run very lightly with the aim of breaking her in for this particular event and comes in at odds of 6/1.
Trainer William Haggas is having an extremely chirpy November so far and has seen just two of his last 20 runners finish outside of the top three finishers, showing just how effective his methods have been of late.
Having said that, Conduct herself has won just two of her five starts, both of which came in 2010, and is yet to finish in the top two of a 2013 outing.
Underdog's Choice: Bohemian Rhapsody
How can one not feel good about a horse named after one of the best power ballads ever written?
According to Racing Post, Bohemian Rhapsody has won three of her last four races and was unfortunate not to have made it four on the trot at Newmarket in August, coming third by three lengths in the end to Quick Jack.
The November Handicap sees Martin Harley pilot the horse, who can be found as high as 31/1 heading to Doncaster, holding great potential if only at small stakes.
The four-year-old knows this distance well and her last three wins have all come at one mile and four furlongs, meaning she'll be able to handle the course with ease.
John Gosden Aiming For Six
John Gosden brings two entrants from his stable to the November Handicap this weekend and the 52-year-old is hoping to become the most decorated trainer in the race's history.
As things stand, he holds the joint record of five wins with Sam Hall, having won the November Handicap in 1991, 1992, 1997, 2009 and 2011.
This year, it's Aiken and Lahaag who will attempt to bring Gosden a record sixth triumph, the latter of whom holds particular promise and will certainly be among the contenders come the one-mile mark.
