Will Eric Mangini Provide the Discipline the Cleveland Browns Need?
Since the Cleveland Browns have come back into the NFL, we have had coaches that cannot get the job done. Period.
When I first heard that the Browns were interested in Mangini, I was thrilled by the thought of having a coach who will lay down the law to the prima donna superstars of the NFL.
We all know how these players tear apart teams from the inside out. Players nowadays have this swagger about them coming out as early as high school to the collegiate ranks all the way up to the big stage of the NFL.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Mangini is the perfect coach to put them in their place and build a team that has players who are willing to block on the outside edges of a sweep run play, and not have them whining in the quarterback's ear about how there not getting the ball.
Let's not forget the defensive side of the ball. Cleveland fans who read this article are going to hate me for this but when Shawn Rogers did not get a handshake, head nod, hello, etc., from coach Mangini the first thing he does is run to the press and cry.
I love Shawn Rogers; just let me say that before I go any further. But these players have to realize coaches are not here for them to be their friends but to coach them to an NFL Championship.
I believe if the players just shut their traps, Mangini can take our beloved Browns to a new level of football that we have not seen since the Paul Brown days. We as fans should be behind our coach 100 percent.
I also know that there are fans who were not as excited about Mangini as I was.
Mangini comes from a very well-rounded education of football from Bill Belichick. A lot of people say that since other coaches have come from the "Belichick tree of coaching" that they are dead in the water as soon as they get a head coaching position.
These are the coaches we have had since we have come back to the league. Looking at what we have had, Mangini does not seem bad to me.
Romeo Crennel Record: 24-40 Overall, No Playoff Appearances, 1 Winning Season
Chris Palmer Record: 5-27 Overall, No Playoff Appearances, No Winning Seasons
Butch Davis Record: 24-35 Overall, 1 Playoff Appearances, 1 Winning Season
Eric Mangini Record: 23-25 Overall, 1 Playoff Appearance, 2 Winning Seasons
I didn't put Terry Robiskie in the list, because he wasn't our coach long enough to give him a fair shake. I think he is an outstanding assistant, though.
I will take two winning seasons by one coach than two winning seasons by three coaches.
So in closing I feel that Mangini will be the coach to discipline our players, and take them to heights we have not seen in over 15 years.
Thank you for reading my article.
