Sir Alex Ferguson Snaps at Jon Snow During Interview Grilling on New Book
Sir Alex Ferguson was left visibly frustrated during an in-depth interview with Channel 4's Jon Snow, as Paul Collins records in the Daily Mail.
The discussion followed the release of the former Manchester United manager's book and covered controversial topics such as his son, the BBC and the Glazers.
Ferguson began the interview preaching the importance of control, both in the media and of his squad, as Snow highlighted his frequent fallouts with former players and journalists.

Control is certainly something Ferguson has always enjoyed, toying with post-match reporters and conducting his pre-match press conferences at will, but it's not something he maintained through this interview. Seeing him so interrogated is an unusual sight.
Snow proceeded to label his controlling nature as a little "Stalinist," which Ferguson denied before insisting dressing-room respect is paramount. He also stated that Manchester United must always maintain their strength.
The conversation then turned to Ferguson's son and the BBC, following a documentary in which the BBC claimed Jason Ferguson had broken FIFA rules during transfers—something the former United manager insists was inaccurate.
When questioned on the topic, Ferguson again condemned the documentary—per Nick Harris of the Independent—and claimed he never received an apology, despite reversing the broadcaster's seven-year ban in 2011.
Later on, Snow continually referred to Ferguson's Labour bias.
He asked how he worked so well with his former right-wing owners, which prompted an awkward exchange between the pair, as Collins reports:
"Snow: You describe yourself as to the left of Labour and yet you describe them (the Glazers) as ‘rampant capitalists’.
Ferguson: No, you’re wrong there, no, no, get your facts right.
Snow: (Quoting Ferguson's book) ‘It’s not their fault they’re rampant capitalists, they let me do whatever I wanted.’
Ferguson: I didn’t use the words ‘rampant capitalists’, you’ve got that wrong.
"
Ferguson again insisted Snow's facts were wrong, despite the presenter reeling off a quote. Seeing the 71-year-old so flummoxed is rare footage, given his usual stranglehold over the media.
""
For once it was the interviewer in charge, letting Ferguson speak but timing his questions and interventions to perfection, although the former United manager certainly stood his ground.
While Snow expertly manoeuvred him onto subjects he clearly didn't want to cover, Ferguson remained steadfast in his beliefs throughout.
Ferguson's book, My Autobiography, has been a huge talking point around the sport and will no doubt continue to be for some time.
