This Sunday night, WWE presents its annual October pay-per-view event Hell in a Cell from American Airlines Arena in Miami.

There are several intriguing storylines to pay attention to Sunday night, most of which surround a main event that could be the most noteworthy since August's SummerSlam.

What are those storylines and how will they affect the show?
Here is a look.
Daniel Bryan's Pursuit of Championship Glory
From the moment that Triple H dropped him with a Pedigree at SummerSlam, assisted Randy Orton in cashing in Money in the Bank and winning the WWE Championship, Daniel Bryan has made it his mission to regain the title.
He did just that at Night of Champions but controversy surrounding referee Scott Armstrong's fast count at the conclusion of Bryan's match against Orton resulted in COO Triple H stripping him of the title and holding it in abeyance.
At Battleground, Bryan saw another opportunity to regain the championship go up in smoke as Big Show interfered in the main event, laying everyone involved out and drawing a no contest.
Over the course of the last two months, Bryan has had a number of obstacles placed between him and the WWE title by a crooked, corrupt administration that dreads the idea of the goat-faced Superstar representing them and the entire company as the face of World Wrestling Entertainment.
The road back to the WWE Championship has not been a smooth one. At one time, Bryan was supposed to be the hot new Superstar to break through the glass ceiling and become the latest main event star for the promotion.
He has seen the attention meant for him stolen by Triple H and Big Show, two already established stars who are definitely not in need of the spotlight.
Will Bryan finally win the WWE Championship that has eluded him and, in the process, recapture the spotlight that has mistakenly been taken off of him?
Big Show's Revenge
After spending the better part of the last two months as the plaything of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Big Show has acted out against The Authority in the weeks following his termination from WWE. He has knocked out Triple H, helped Cody Rhodes and Goldust win the tag team titles and has generally been a pain in his former employers' necks.
With a major championship bout on this Sunday's show, a bout that The Authority has intense interest in, it should be interesting to see how Big Show manages to interject himself in the match. Will he ensure that Daniel Bryan leaves Miami with the WWE Championship?
Does he even care who leaves with the title or is his only goal to torment those who tormented him?
The HBK Factor
There are a number of interesting possibilities for Shawn Michaels at Hell in a Cell. As the special guest referee for Bryan vs. Orton, he figures to factor into the conclusion of the match. After all, he was not brought in simply to count the pinfall and raise the winner's arm in victory. Right?
The question is: How he will factor into the finish and who his involvement will benefit?
There are two distinct paths his involvement in the match could take.
One, he lets his past with Orton affect his impartiality and helps Bryan to victory, to the dismay of The Authority. A feud between Michaels and Triple H leads to each man assembling a team for a traditional Survivor Series match.
The second scenario features Michaels stunning the WWE Universe and laying Bryan out with Sweet Chin Music, proving once and for all that the bond between friends is stronger than the bond between teacher and pupil.
The Revenge of Punk
For months, CM Punk has attempted to get his hands on Paul Heyman for a betrayal that cost him a chance to win his third Money in the Bank briefcase as well as a major marquee match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.
At Night of Champions, Punk momentarily got his hands on Heyman but was speared through a table by Ryback. Earlier this month at Battleground, Punk gained a measure of revenge on Ryback following a low blow and pinfall victory.
Yet, full retribution on Heyman has eluded the former WWE Champion and self-proclaimed "Best in the World."
Sunday, there will be nowhere to run for Heyman when he and Ryback are locked inside the Hell in a Cell structure with Punk.
With the feud losing substantial momentum in recent weeks, there is no better time to payoff the angle than by having Punk dispatch of Ryback in some form or fashion and finally give Heyman the beating he has earned.
Punk should move on to bigger and better things while Ryback and Heyman settle nicely into the middle of the card, where Ryback can be rebuilt properly.
