NBA Live 14: Latest Buzz on Release Date, Graphics, Top Features and More
NBA Live 14 is nearing its much-anticipated next generation release, which is officially slated to happen Nov. 19, as per EA Sports NBA:
The series has been absent on consoles since NBA Live 10 hit the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 back on Oct. 6, 2009.
It seems that the four-plus year hiatus will be worth it, as the revamped title looks to be better than ever.
The publisher and developers behind the game simply haven’t accepted anything less than a AAA offering, notably cancelling NBA Elite 11—the slated predecessor to the NBA Live series—when it was found to be unsatisfactory.
Let’s take a look at some of the top features, visual aesthetics and more for NBA Live 14.
Athlete Lineup Revealed
EA Sports recently announced that a number of high-profile NBA stars were utilized and consulted with during the creation of NBA Live 14.
According to the company’s press release, cover athlete Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Kemba Walker, Ricky Rubio and Victor Oladipo—all young and upcoming guards—were involved in giving input and feedback, helping to motion capture a number of signature moves and much more.
You can read more about each of their individual contributions on the company’s site and it should only reassure fans that this is going to be one of the most amazing game launches in years.
Physics Are Going to Revolutionize the Game
Recreating what happens on a basketball court isn’t an easy task, but EA Sports’ new BounceTek technology should aid in making this game one of the most realistic simulations of the NBA available.
As you can see in the video, the company is using physics instead of canned animations to insure that nearly every bounce up and down the court is unique.
Coupled with the input from the star guards mentioned above, it seems that an action as basic as dribbling the ball is going to be revolutionary in NBA Live 14.
Official Trailer Flaunts Graphics
NBA Live 14 released an official trailer a few weeks ago, giving gamers a real glimpse into this upcoming release.
The actual gameplay footage was a nice touch, showing off the amazing graphics and incredible power that will be on display when the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are finally in living rooms around the world.
It may not be as exciting as actually being on the court, but it is the closest most of us are ever going to get.
