TNA iMPACT Slamback: Anarchy on a Silver Platter

Ron JohnsonMay 21, 2009

As TNA goes live tonight, we see the return/arrival of TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett. Double J does not look happy as he makes his walk to the ring, injured and all.

Jarrett makes it clear that he will take the high road…but tonight, he’ll react in a physical and violent way. He then announces the final participant for this Sunday’s Fatal Four Way TNA Championship Match: Jeff Jarrett!

Jarrett announces that despite being injured, he intends to put out the fire that he started with Mick Foley. He also guarantees that Foley will not leave the TNA World Champion at Sacrifice. With that, the TNA World Champion makes his way to the ring. Foley starts out by insulting the assaulted Jarrett.

Foley admits that he truly hates his guts as much as he hated the elder Jarrett. He then asks Jarrett what he’s sacrificing to go after the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Foley suggests that Jarrett put up his voting shares to compete for the match.

As Foley walks away, Jarrett says he’s willing to sacrifice literally everything for the chance to silence Foley. Foley then enters the ring and makes four matches: Eric Young vs. Sting, Matt Morgan vs. Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett and himself vs. ???.

As the anarchy begins, Kurt Angle continues the anarchy by demanding that Sting knows his role in the Mafia. The show goes to break as Angle, Steiner and JB continue the hunt for The Icon.

Back on the program, Daniels and Suicide are prepping for their match tonight. As Daniels walks away, Suicide makes it clear to Lauren that, “I Am…Suicide.”

Lethal Consequences vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Daniels & Suicide

As Dumb West continues his rant about who is under the mask, Daniels and Lethal start the match. Shelley comes in and tries to keep control in the Anti-Suicide’s favor, but Daniels wins control with a modified spin out Powerbomb. But thanks to a double team by the Guns, the Anti-Suicide regains the lead.

Following a difference of opinion from the Guns and Lethal Consequences, Daniels is able to tag in Suicide. But the tide turns as The Guns turn their attention to Suicide. All six men are battling it out as Lethal hits the Lethal Combination on Sabin. Daniels delivers a huge BMFE to Lethal, while in the ring, Suicide blocks the Sliced Bread and hits the Corner Head Slam.

Following the Suicidal Tendencies, Suicide gets the pinfall and gets the victory for himself and Daniels. As Daniels turns to his partner for the night, the lights go out, and Suicide disappears under the cover of darkness.

Back on iMPACT, JB is following Angle as his search continues. He then goes up to the rafters looking for him. As Angle goes on to confront Sting, Steiner turns around and heads to the other direction.

As the show returns, Team 3D makes their way down to the ring to talk about the Finals and the attack from British Invasion last week. Team 3D turns their attention from the tournament Finals to the team that ambushed them last week.

They then decide that BI will never show them up again. With that, Brutus Magnus leads the Invasion down to the ring to confront Team 3D.

The Invasion steps into the ring and tries to tell them what’s up, but Team 3D decides to fight instead. But the numbers catch up with them quick as The Invasion gets the upper hand.

After decimating Brother Ray, Rob Terry drops Brother Devon with a huge power slam. Terry brings in a table to finish the job, but as they prepare to drop the TNA Tag Team Champions, Beer Money sprints to the ring, beer and chair in hand, to make the save.

After making it clear that they intend to take them down at Sacrifice, they turn their attention to Team 3D and tell them that they’re coming to get the gold back.

After a handshake by the two teams, and as the Un-Americans and British Invasion look on, Eric Young is not happy with the decision Mick Foley made in regards to putting him in a match with Sting.

Back on the show, Angle finally confronts Sting before he heads to the ring for his match with Eric Young. Sting makes it clear that Angle wasn’t the only one screwed at Lockdown.

He tells Kurt Angle that this isn’t about him; this is about bringing the championship back to the Main Event Mafia. With that, the two are back on the same page as Young makes his way to the ring.

Eric Young vs. Sting

Following a show of respect by both men, they are involved in a trifecta of collar-neck tieups before the slugfest officially begins. Sting continues the pressure by launching Young practically all over the place. On the outside, Young staggers to his feet and tries to fight back against the Icon.

But Sting sends him back to the outside. But Young fires back and drops Sting with a clothesline. Following an elbow, Young gets caught in the Scorpion Deathlock, and he is unfortunately forced to tap out. Sting gets the win, much to the chagrin of Eric Young.

In the back, Angelina Love heads to the ring, with security in tow.

In the back, the TNA World Champion continues to play mind games with who he is facing tonight.

Back in the ring, TNA Management’s Jim Cornette is in the ring awaiting the arrival of the two Knockouts who will collide for the TNA Knockouts Championship at Sacrifice. With that, Angelina, flanked by her security, heads to the ring for the contract signing.

After she enters the ring, the beast known as Awesome Kong makes her way to the ring along with Raisha Saeed.

Love signs the contract, all the while looking over her shoulder to see if Kong is stalking her prey. After Saeed signs the deal, Love grabs the mic and tries to talk her way out of facing Kong. She then gives a loaded apology to the former Knockouts Champion.

She then tells her that after the match, she’ll give her an official makeover.

After insulting the behemoth, she then extends an invitation to Kong to join The Beautiful People. Kong shakes her hand, but doesn’t let go.

She instead drops Rudy Charles with an Awesome Bomb through the table for his blocking of her taking out the TNA Knockouts Champion. As Love scurries away from the ring, Kong locks her sadistic eyes on Love and the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Back on the show, Lauren is going off at Abyss about his participation of the Knockouts Monsters Ball this Sunday. Unfortunately, Dr. Stevie is out of the office until Monday…the day after Sacrifice.

Following a video promo of Kurt Angle and his career in TNA, we are graced with the presence of two of the biggest egos in TNA: Matt Morgan and Kurt Angle. In the back, AJ Styles makes it clear that either he or Booker will have to say “I Quit.” As for Joe, he makes it clear that there is nothing between Joe and him.

Matt Morgan vs. Kurt Angle

Morgan takes the fight straight to the Godfather of the Main Event Mafia. After taking the fight to the outside, Morgan shows his cocky side to the fans and to the man he’s trying to impress Kurt Angle before taking the fight to a more extreme side.

Back on the program, Morgan is focusing on the lower back of Angle. After several sidewalk slams, he has a headlock applied. But Angle fires back with a series of shots followed by the Trifecta Germans. Angle bounces up and loses the straps. Morgan blocks the Angle Slam before nailing the Carbon Footprint.

Angle counters the Hellavator into the Ankle Lock. Morgan fights out of the submission and drops Angle with a Fall Away Slam. Morgan goes for the Hellavator, but Angle counters into a small package to get the victory. After the bell, Angle shakes his hand and shows that he may have a spot open for Morgan in the Mafia.

Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett

Before Jarrett could even get to the ring, Joe takes the fight to him on the outside. Both men fight in the crowd, eventually meeting up at a barrier. Joe takes the fight to every section of the iMPACT Zone. Joe focuses on the leg of Jarrett as officials start sprinting to stop the fight.

Joe takes out anyone who gets in his path, but returns to Jarrett and stabs his leg with a chair. AJ Styles comes out to break up the assault…only to start a fight with Joe himself. Both men slug it out as security and referees try to break them up and Jarrett screams in pain on the ground.

Mick Foley vs. “Rocky Balboa”

Foley finally unveils his opponent for tonight: Rocky Balboa???? With that, TNA officials come out with a cardboard cutout and an imitation Mickey to head to the ring.

Following some jaw jocking from Foley, “Rocky” gets a few punches in before Foley takes complete control. Following a suplex, Foley delivers a piledriver to the cutout. After delivering a hard elbow, Foley finally ends this embarrassing atrocity with the pinfall.

After the bell, Foley continues to gloat about his “victory” over “Rocky.” He then gives his best impression of Rocky’s victory speech, Jeff Jarrett comes down to the ring to confront the Executive Shareholder. He then gets into the ring and beats the hell out of Foley before Angle comes in and delivers an Angle Slam.

As Angle applies the Ankle Lock, Sting comes in to break up the fight. Foley drops Sting with a chair, Jarrett hits the Stroke on Angle and Foley lays out Jarrett with the chair before leaving the ring as TNA goes off the air.

This Sunday: Live on Pay Per View, it’s TNA Sacrifice!
