Bayer Leverkusen 1-1 Bayern Munich: Neuer Mistake Gives Bayer a Point

1 of 7

A brave display saw Bayer Leverkusen over the line with a 1-1 draw at home to Bayern Munich on Saturday.

Toni Kroos opened the scoring for the guests in the 29th minute, but just seconds later Sidney Sam had the hosts back on level terms after a gaffe from Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Bayern dominated every possible statistical category (apart from saves made), but were unable to find an all-important second goal as they were forced to settle for a draw with their fellow Champions League participants.

Gladbach 2-0 Borussia Dortmund: Klopp's Men Wasteful in Front of Goal

2 of 7

Borussia Monchengladbach stunned Borussia Dortmund as they claimed a 2-0 win at home on Saturday afternoon.

Dortmund, returning to domestic action after a Champions League win against Marseille in midweek, were foiled by their rivals—as strike partnership Max Kruse (from the penalty spot) and Raffael (in the last five minutes) both notched to seal the home win.

Jurgen Klopp will wonder quite how his side managed to lose, creating nearly five times as many opportunities as Gladbach did over the course of the contest.

Schalke 4-1 Augsburg: Home Side Bounce Back from Early Stumble

3 of 7

Schalke overcame an early scare to eventually ease to a comfortable win against FC Augsburg on Saturday.

Sascha Molders had opened the scoring for the visitors after just ten minutes, but that was as good as it got for Augsburg as Schalke duly roared back—Kevin-Prince Boateng (from the spot), Adam Szalai (twice) and Max Meyer (in the 86th minute) eventually completing something of a rout.
