Fo-Fo-Fo, LeBron and Cavs will Sweep Their Way to the NBA Finals
MVP vs Defensive Player of the Year. The King vs Superman.
LeBron James and Dwight Howard, two of the top young stars in the NBA will meet in the Eastern Conference Finals starting tomorrow.
The Cavs have swept two series, each game won by double-digits, and have played just eight games in the past 35 days, while the Magic took six games to eliminate the 76ers and were taken to the brink by last year's champion Boston Celtics.
Some think that so much rest between games will cause the Cavaliers to come out rusty in Game One. But over the course of an NBA season, rest is far from a bad thing.
Some think that the NBA is a game of matchups. In many cases, it is. But when a player like Lebron James is involved, matchups can be thrown out the window.
It takes more than one person to guard him, and LeBron is a good enough passer to find the open man when double-teamed. With shooters like Mo Williams, Wally Szczerbiak, Daniel Gibson and Delonte West, LeBron has an array of options when he is doubled.
Orlando has a solid three-player core in Howard, Rashard Lewis, and Hedo Turkoglu, but beyond them, the Magic have very little in the form of offensive threats. Cleveland's big men, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Anderson Varejao, along with first-team all defender Lebron should be able to keep Lewis and Turkoglu effectively silent.
With Howard as the only weapon that Cleveland can't stop a majority of the time, the Cavaliers should once again have little trouble getting past the Magic.
Cleveland will sweep their way into the NBA Finals.
