Vikings Ready To Conquer The NFC?
The Minnesota Vikings were able to claim the NFC North’s Division Title in 2008. A stout defense and a solid running game lead by Adrian Peterson gave Viking fans plenty of optimism heading into the 2009 campaign.
The pressure now falls on Brad Childress to get his team to take that next step and elevate itself amongst the NFL’s elite teams.
The quarterback position is going to be the key to the Vikings success in 2009. The multi-million dollar question right now is “Who is it going to be?” Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’re probably aware of the talks that the Vikings may or may not have been talking with a certain quarterback who used to play for the Green Bay Packers.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If Brett Favre chooses to put off retirement once again for a shot at sticking it to his old team, that definitely vaults the Vikings to the top of the list of contenders in the NFC. He may be a little long in the tooth, but he’s still leaps and bounds ahead of the other QBs on the Vikings roster.
Nobody expects him to be the league MVP again, but his arm and experience will definitely be a valuable asset to this team come playoff time. Couple the possible addition of Favre with top draft pick Percy Harvin and the Vikings look to have one of the most exciting, electric offenses in the league.
Should things not work out between Favre and the Vikings, the quarterback becomes a giant question mark.
Minnesota gave up a fourth-round draft pick for Sage Rosenfels. If Favre isn’t wearing purple, he figures to win the starting job over Tarvaris Jackson.
Rosenfels figures to be an upgrade over the combo of Jackson and Gus Frerotte that the Vikings went with last year. If Rosenfels doesn’t have what it takes to be an NFL starting QB, the Vikings could easily take a step backwards. Should that happen, Brad Childress would definitely find himself on the hot seat.
