Money & Youth Issues Within Football: United and Their Fans A Disgrace?

Perm VacationMay 15, 2009

Are football governing bodies not doing enough? Are Man United and their fans a disgrace to English football?

Well TV shows like Cops with Cams, Interceptors, Road Wars, and Street Wars show one side, as more and more criminals are found wearing Man United shirts and found handling illegal substances or stolen goods in their Man United branded bedrooms, are ticket prices that bad that they have to resort to such extreme measures?

Just take one look at complete contempt and sheer utter arrogance by browsing this Man United blog and you will see the truth for yourself.

This particular site is a breeding pit.

The rot that can cause riots, hatred and violence within football, should these types of sport websites be shut down? Or should they be allowed to fester the internet with hate and disgust?

Forum boards like Rivals.net allow their boards to disgustingly fester.

To be completely and utterly blunt, where do Man United fans get off looking down on good, law abiding citizens. Since when did Man United fans think they have any say in any matters after selling their souls to the Glazer family? FC United of Manchester's fans had the right idea.

Since when can they judge another club and their fans when Man United are the most heavily indebted club in the Premier League, financed by bank loans.

As far as I am concerned Man United are a disgrace to English football and it is insulting and a disgrace to Manchester that they call themselves "Manchester" United, I mean what kind of joke is that anyway considering Manchester City is Manchester's real club.

Even more disgrace comes from the swamp in the form of United scouring Europe for talented youth and abusing the fact other European countries clubs cannot offer professional contracts to youth players until they reach the age of 18, oh how fitting that Alex Ferguson is backing the Home Grown Rule.

Just look at the hard work clubs like Aston Villa, West Ham, Arsenal, and Manchester City have put into their youth academies, how much of a big thank you is it to these clubs, that Europe will allow clubs like Man United that neglected their youth academies to count youth they stole from other countries as home grown talent.

This home grown rule is meant to promote the growth of youth in our country, how does stealing youth from other countries count towards this.

This is how it works:

Any player who has been registered domestically for at least three years before their 21st birthday is classed as home grown, so for example Cesc Fabregas would be a "home-grown" Arsenal player. See now Fabregas maybe came from another club but he joined Arsenal at youth level and here is the difference.

United are stealing young players at around the age of 17 from clubs in other European countries that cannot offer professional contracts, these young players are being given professional contracts to join Man United meaning they officially become first team players, now they have not been nurtured even for one day by the club's academy and this means these players are not home grown, so why are they allowed to be classed as home grown?

Anderson, joined United at age 18

Rafael and Fabio Da Silva joined United at aged 18

Rodrigo Possebon joined United at age 19

Federico Macheda joined United at age 17

Among others will be classed as home grown though none of them set one toe inside United's academy and 98% of the players who did rise through the United academy will see themselves live out their career either at other clubs or in the United reserves squad.

United continue to scour Europe for more talent below the age of 18.

Man United fans have nothing to be proud of other than the glory of their club.

They obviously think they have a god-given right to insult and slander another fan base and club just on the basis that they have achieved glory.

Their club is a disgrace, most of them don't care as long as they get their bragging rights and that is what makes them a sad case, others don't care as they are not even English, glory hunters that have no reason to care about their club disgracing English football as long as they continue to gain glory.

How surreal is it that Man United fans find it more interesting to abuse other clubs fans when their club is in financial turmoil, rising ticket prices, forcing season tickets holders to pay for cup games, an increase on shirt prices and only raising prices purely on the basis they turn fans away at the gates.

Oh I forgot, it seems that banks will have to invest more money if they are to profit from existing loans which means that the banks holding outstanding loans in Man United and other heavily indebted clubs around the world will have to feed them more loans it seems.

How much of a disgrace is it that the American franchise known as Man United among others will be allowed to continue to live off bank loans while everyone else struggle or survive off their means?

Should Europe bring in the "If you're in debt you're banned from Europe" rule and teach clubs like Man United and their fans a lesson?
