Arsenal: Time For Some Cleaning
As we all know, for the last month all the fans, critics and even players have been urging Le Professor to buy experienced players.
And finally Arsene Wenger himself admitted that he will spend (let's hope he wasn't kidding), and now comes our topic for today, Who will (or should) get the axe?
It's obvious that Wenger will (or might) operate on limited funds, so a lot of players might leave this summer. So, I had the honour of making a list of all the players that might be getting sold this summer.

Before I get into the names, please understand that I have no hatred to any of these players in anyway (some on the list are players that I actually like), and that I hope them the best in their future. And that this topic is about voting, so vote for who YOU think should be the No.1 to leave the Emirates this summer.
1 - Johan Djourou: In Djourou's defence, when the two defenders that you're supposed to be learning from are fighting (Gallas and Kolo) then you really can't be blamed all that much. Also, he might be lacking confidence (A LOT of confidence), but he is still 22, and he is actually a defensive midfielder (Wenger converted his position).
Maybe upon the arrival of an experienced defender might Djourou learn (not another Silvestre please Mr. Wenger).
2- William Gallas: When you're supposed to be the captain and criticise your team in public then maybe you're not cut out to be a leader, fighting with Toure and causing havoc for the media to cover wasn't really a pleasant memory for the fans.
However, after the captain's arm band was removed Gallas has been superb, scoring goals from everywhere and putting most differences aside between Toure and himself (they used to be friends, What happened?). Gallas's injury was a turning point in Arsenal's campaign and few would argue this point, the only questionable topic is Gallas's loyalty. Will he stay or will he leave (I hope he stays).
3- Denilson: Denilson has been booed alot during this campaign, and he should've been red carded for laying his hands on the referee in the semifinal against Chelsea, and the fans are at a crossroads when it comes to him as well (along with a few other players), but I think that this is mainly because he was filling in for the injured Fabregas, and that he was the most present during this campaign when we underperformed. Still, there's no denying that we would love to see someone like Alonso in our midfield.
4- Manuel Almunia: The main reason I'm putting Almunia on the list is because of one reason only, CONSISTENCY. He was brilliant in the first leg against Man Utd, but that free kick in the second leg was easy, I watched it over and over and couldn't understand why he was trying to hold it, he wasn't even stretching his hands and the ball was within his grasp. Now don't get me wrong, it's not only about that match, it's his consistency throughout. He needs to step up his performance to stay as our No. 1.
5- Lukasz Fabianski: It's no surprise really, I mean, Manny was on the list. He made a mistake that cost us reaching the final in the FA Cup, and he's not that young anymore, he's 24 (it's obvious he might not be the next Casillas). His main problem is that of Djourous's, confidence, brilliant against Liverpool in the first half.
But once it rains, it pours. Four goals in the second half that shattered his confidence, he can't be blamed for all four to be honest, our defence was garbage that match, failing to clear the ball time and time again. In his defence, it's easy to see that he has progressed quite admirably.
6- Alexandre Song: Another one who the fans aren't crazy about, Song has been put in toughest of matches and have been getting the blame for the teams failing from fans and critics alike. I can't blame him, the defensive midfielder position is probably the one that requires the most experience, but even a blind man can see Song's potential in the midfield, all he needs is someone like Vieira to learn from and in a year or two he could be great.
7- Amaury Bishoff: ????? Do I even need to talk about this guy, most of you are probably going "Amaury Who?". He didn't even start a match this season and the only time he featured was against Portsmouth when we had 3-0 lead.
And after all that, he said "I'm not renewing my contract with Arsenal this summer, I think I'm going to Sporting Lisbon because it's a very prestigious club" (What about Arsenal?). All I can tell you my dear Amaury is good luck and good riddance. My vote goes to you.
8- Philippe Senderos: Ahhh sweet Sendy. Mr.Wenger giving you the Legendary No.6 shirt is proof that he isn't talented in spotting defenders like he is with attackers. Supposed to be the successor of Mr. Arsenal himself, Senderos was supposed to do great thing for this club.
Fast forward six years and 300 own goals and we found ourselves with another defender that proves that it's our defence that's on the weak side. That's not to say that Sendy isn't good, which he is, he was part of the defence that didn't concede a goal in the 2006 world cup (they lost on penalties to Ukraine). It's just that his errors have cost us dearly in the past. He's good, but if Wenger is planning to buy defenders this summer, then it's either he or his compatriot (Djourou) that are leaving.
9- Mikael Silvestre: How could I ever, EVER, forget you? Silvestre was the summer buying that dazzled (in a bad way) all the reporters, all the fans, and even all the animals in the animal kingdom. The first summer buying between the biggest rival clubs in England since 1974, was it supposed to work?
You tell me. Maybe he came because he's French.
10- Emmanuel Adebayor: Until this day he is being linked to go to Milan, some fans still hate him and some critics say that (and I quote), "when I saw Adebayor playing in the semifinal against Man Utd, it's like he's someone who wants out of Arsenal."
If he goes, then we should get about 30 million out of him, and that should help us get some players who are willing to die fighting for the ball.
11- Abou Diaby: Inconsistent and extremely cocky with the ball, creative yet lacks that spark that was awaited from him. I don't think he should go, but I think he should return to his original role in the midfield (Wenger has been playing him on the left recently where he looks extremely uncomfortable).
In the midfield however, his strength is always noticed and sometimes he looks like the next Vieira (although he's much faster).
12- Andrei Arshavin: Hehehehe, you gotta admit, that look on your face when you read his name was quite hilarious. Let's hope that all the players Wenger gets are as good in their position as Arsh is in his.
Final note: I'm not writing Gibbs in the list because it's obvious that he is good, I wouldn't go as far as to say that he was amazing against Man Utd in the first leg, but imagine yourself at age 18 replacing the first choice left back in the most crucial time in the season. Wenger was wrong to put such a burden on Gibbs, I for one would've played Eboue (who barely made it off this list).
He sliped, get over it. It happens.
Now please remember to vote because such a topic requires people's opinions. In reality Wenger might get rid of more than one but you can only vote for one player in this poll. Thank you and I hope to see some summer signings that'll put a smile on our faces in the future.
