Harden: Fatigue Not Excuse

Mitchell Quote on Knick Fans 👀
Bucks Trading Jennings to Pistons
The Milwaukee Bucks had no interest in retaining superstar Brandon Jennings at his asking price and reportedly agreed to a sign-and-trade to ship him to the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski first reported that the Bucks inked Jennings to a three-year, $24 million contract then traded him for guard Brandon Knight, forward Khris Middleton and center Slava Kravstov.
According to Steve Kyler of HOOPSWORLD, the Bucks had extended Jennings a $4.53 million qualifying offer prior to the deal but were unwilling to hammer out a long-term extension. Jennings was seeking between $11 and $12 million per season.
While Jennings didn't get that sort of money from the Pistons, he will be playing for an up-and-coming team that vastly improved this offseason by adding Josh Smith and Chauncey Billups.
The 23-year-old point guard still has the potential to be great and may finally reach his ceiling now that he's moving on to a new team.
Childress Picking from 3 Teams
Josh Childress may not be a starting-caliber player in the NBA anymore, but the 30-year-old shooting guard could make an impact for a contender coming off the bench as a reserve.
At handful of teams have recognized that, as Shams Charania of RealGM found that Childress is mulling over offers from three teams—worth the veteran’s minimum—after rejecting a rich contract from Olympiacos in order to stay in the States.
The 6’8”, 210-pound swingman spent his first four seasons out of Stanford with the Atlanta Hawks, averaging double-digit scoring figures before taking his talents overseas after the 2007-08 campaign.
Since his return—with the Phoenix Suns in 2010—Childress has yet to average more than five points and totaled up just one per game in 14 appearances with the Brooklyn Nets last year.
He could still contribute but needs to be in the right situation to make a difference.
Everyone Wants Cooley in Camp
Jack Cooley is one of the more popular players on the open market, as HOOPSWORLD’s Alex Kennedy has found that the big man has at least 10 training-camp invites and a number of lucrative offers from overseas.
The undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame averaged a double-double in his senior year, putting 13.1 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
At 6’9” and 246 pounds, Cooley has the size to play the 4 in the league and could be a great contributor off the bench with his efficient shooting and strong work ethic.
It’ll be interesting to see where he actually ends up taking his talents in the coming weeks, as it will soon be time for the 22-year-old to decide.
