Barcelona vs. Valerenga: Date, Time, Live Stream, TV Info and Preview
Barcelona started their preseason slate with a loss to defending European champions Bayern Munich. The La Liga powerhouse will look to get back on the winning side of things against Norwegian side Valerenga.
The Bayern defeat didn't come as a shock. The German club was using a very strong lineup and already had several preseason contests under its belt. Barcelona are just starting the process of shaking off the rust, which will take a couple matches.
As long as Barca are ready when the new campaign gets underway, the preseason results will quickly become an afterthought. The signs of progress should already begin as the club takes on a less star-studded Valerenga squad.

Barcelona will welcome a new addition to the preseason tour on Saturday. New manager Gerardo Martino, who was selected to replace Tito Vilanova, will make his way to Norway after being introduced the day before the match, according to the club's official site.
"The new Barca manager will also be heading for the Norwegian capital. He'll be travelling after being officially presented in Barcelona on Friday. The Argentinian's trip to Oslo will be his first contact with his new charges, who he is due to coach for the next two seasons.
"
The journey to Oslo gives Martino an opportunity to get a firsthand look at his new club. His presence also gives the players, especially those fighting for more playing time heading into the new campaign, a chance to showcase their skills.
Barca can expect another tricky test. While they are undoubtedly the more talented side heading into the match, Valerenga are truly in midseason form. They are currently 16 matches into the Tippeligaen's campaign, which is an advantage for the Norwegian club.
Barcelona is likely to continue the trend from the first match in terms of playing time. They want to get as many players as possible involved in the early portion of the preseason trip, which means a mix-and-match lineup and plenty of subs in the second half.
It's the right move. The results are meaningless in the grand scheme of things, and the club doesn't want to overextend any stars before the matches that actually count.
The outcome will ultimately depend on how much playing time the likes of Lionel Messi, Alexis Sanchez and the club's other attacking stars on the trip get. They should be able to break down the Valerenga back line during that time.
Defensively, the players Barca must watch out for are Torgeir Borven and Morten Berre. The forward tandem has combined for 16 goals across all competitions this season. They could give the back line, which hasn't built much chemistry yet, some trouble.
That said, Barcelona should have enough firepower to handle the challenge. Expect a more complete performance from the club as it builds toward the new season and as the season continues.
Prediction: Barcelona 3, Valerenga 0
