Yanks Lose to BoSox Again
The Yankees lost to the Boston Red Sox again last night after waiting through a two-hour-and-20-minute rain delay.
Phil Hughes did not have his control and that got him into trouble. He only lasted four innings, giving up four runs.
The Yankees felt the umpire was squeezing Hughes and giving Boston pitcher John Lester all the close calls. Yankees manager Joe Girardi ended up getting ejected in the fifth inning after he reached his boiling point when Derek Jeter was called out on strikes.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
This ejection did seem to light an immediate fire under the team as Johnny Damon and Mark Teixiera hit back-to-back home runs, cutting the lead to 4-3.
Alfredo Aceves pitched well in relief of Hughes, but he did give up a two-run home run to new Yankee-Killer Jason Bay off the left field foul pole to give the Sox a 6-3 edge.
The Yankees attempted to rally in the ninth off of closer Jonathan Papelbon, but couldn't finish off the comeback. They had men on first and second no outs, but Damon popped out to right field, and Big Tex and Nick Swisher struck out to end the game.
I still think Kevin Long is a terrible hitting coach for the Yankees, and his philosophy of trying to hit home runs instead of making good contact and getting base hits is just wrong.
The Yankees had seemed to right themselves after the three-game sweep in Fenway, winning four out of their last six. But they just can't beat the Red Sox right now.
The Yankees desperately need to win tonight, with Joba Chamberlain going against Josh Beckett.
