For Campbell and Zorn: Make Or Break Year
After collapsing before a 6-2 start, the Washington Redskins season became a complete disaster in the second half of the NFL season. They went 2-6, and finished with a record of 8-8 and were last in the NFC East. As a result, questions came rumbling about the status of head coach Jim Zorn and starting quarterback Jason Campbell.
As soon as the Redskins finished their season finale with a loss against the San Francisco 49ers, people wanted answers from Executive Vice President of Football operations Vinny Cerrato.
They wanted to know whether head coach Jim Zorn would be back and would starting quarterback Jason Campbell be granted his big fat contract.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cerrato cleared the speculations on whether he would look to fire Zorn after his first season with Washington. "In this building that has not even be discussed around the building. He will be back next season."
Although he address Zorn's situation, he never addressed Campbell's status.
As the offseason came, the Denver Broncos were shopping around their star quarterback Jay Cutler.
People thought to themselves that the Redskins would not look to acquire Cutler because they are waiting for Campbell to blossom and hoped he would win some games for them in the future.
However, owner Daniel Snyder was pushing for the trade to acquire Cutler in an attempt to finally solve the team's decades-long pursuit of a franchise quarterback.
While the Redskins were in the process dealing for Cutler, Campbell said all the right things and wanted to remain with Washington.
When Washington was unsuccessful in acquiring Cutler, they focused on the draft and targeted USC quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Campbell felt disrespected by the organization, and wanted to leave if the team drafted Sanchez.
Once again, they were unsuccessful in acquiring Sanchez saying, ''it was too expensive."
Jason Campbell needs to lead Washington to the playoffs if he hopes on receiving a big contract, and remaining with Washington.
