Sage Rosenfels: Is He the Minnesota Vikings' Star QB?
I walked into a Vikings conversation with a couple of coworkers. It was all Super Bowl talk.
I am always a little skeptical of Super Bowl talk in the preseason, but more so the week after the draft.
I was getting ready to make a comment about the season's outlook, when one guy says, "The Vikings are in great shape now that they got their star QB."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I asked "Are you talking about the Sage-copter? Or did Favre sign today?"
Newsflash. Favre has not signed today. He will probably stay retired. Childress says that he didn't want him. But this isn't about Favre. It's about Rosenfels.
So here are 10 reasons why Rosenfels is not and won't be a star QB.
10. See picture. That's a fumble in the fourth quarter with a two-score lead. You don't need to make a play. You need to keep the football.
9. The Sage-copter.
8. 12 career starts.
7. "Star" QBs do not play on four different teams in nine years to start their career.
6. It takes a lot more to get a star QB than on fourth round choice (two firsts and a third?)
5. 30-29 TD to INT ratio.
4. First name—Sage. A nice muddy green (like when you are on the ground in Green Bay.)
3. Star QBs can beat out another career backup named Fiedler.
2. When a star QB has a great WR, they own records.
1. Star QBs only wear purple after age 32, Fran (Cunningham was 34 and Moon 38.)
