Al Davis (and Others): Try The Power Of Touch In The NFL
You may be getting to your "wits' end." So, try the power of touch. Research claims that there is power in touching. So, invite all of the surviving senior great players to Oakland to show up and touch the next generation of Oakland Raiders.
Some of the old timers are still around: Lamonica, Bilentikoff, Wells, Madden and Blanda. Let them just sit somewhere comfortably and "father" the new, young players, letting them know how they stepped up, stepped down, fell down, rose up, and how they are still hanging in there, in life, that is.
In the Torah there is a story of Moses and Joshua; Elisha and Elijah, and more. Each older leader had contact with the younger, and it seems that the "power and glory" of the old men was passed on to the young men.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In our generation of NFL players, maybe there is a disconnect. Perhaps, we need to connect and respect the good that the old men did, and share that with the young men, warning them to avoid the mistakes of the past.
It's a thought. Afterall, you may have tried everything else, so try letting the older generation touch, in symbolic ways, the newer generation. In some ways, it could be called "l dor v dor" which means from generation to generation.
Finally, let Lamonica pass on the gifted arm. Let Blanda pass on the gifted kick. Let Madden pass on the gifted coaching. Let Bilentikoff and Wells pass on the gifted hands.
Finally, this B/R scribe researched the meaning of "wits' end" and to my surprise it comes from the Torah/Old Testament. It's amazing and so suitable:
Psalms 107:27 (King James Version):
"They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
