Walk Of Shame: Draft Time in Seattle
It's that time of year again, the draft. Being from Seattle, we never have to wait too long to see our team make their pick in the draft. The famed Seattle Sports Curse has made sure of that, and while getting an early pick is supposed to get us the particularly talented cream-of-the-crop player, turning our fortunes around, it just seems that when we pin our hopes on someone, we always get hit with someone for whom the Lemon Law should apply (see Bosworth, Brian)
What is it exactly, that we as a city did, to earn this? Where does this seemingly endless punishment come from? Was the Kingdome built on an Ancient Indian burial ground? (Well, probably yes actually, we have like 30 local native tribes, so it's likely hard to miss). Did they only move the headstones? Maybe a gypsy got poked on the eye with an umbrella or something. But whatever it is, knock it off!

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I can't be frustrated really, I grew up here, and I thought this is what sports were like. Great sports teams from around the country come, visit your city, say wonderful things to the local media, crush the home team, and leave.
Real Estate tycoons from cities like Oklahoma City and St. Petersburg, FL come and purchase your local teams, trade away the best players, and watch the teams go from bad to worse, in an effort to move them to another city.
And the occasional sympathy bowl, some team seemingly throws a game, allowing one of our teams to make it a bit up the ladder, compete in some championship, but it always ends badly. We feel used. They never call. (We love you!)
This is the sports that I grew up with, and so I guess I shouldn't feel too bad about watching yet another early draft pick. This could be the one. I can't lose hope.
But if he gets a knee injury in his first game I'm going to key his car.
