Chuck Liddell: Where the 'Iceman' Goes From Here
Being such a huge UFC fan, the mere thought of the UFC without "the Iceman" in it breaks my heart. I don’t think that time has come quite yet, but it is on the horizon.
Fans of Chuck need to come to terms with Chuck’s recent loss. The granite chin is gone, which means the old Chuck fighting style is done. Gone are the days of standing and going toe to toe with his opponent. If Chuck gets another fight, and I think he will, he has to change his style of fighting.
Chuck has always been noted for his wrestling ability. You wouldn’t know it from his love of standing up. So why do they always talk about Chuck's wrestling ability?

New Mock Draft with the Heat Winning Lottery Simulation 🔮
Simply put, Chuck works exactly opposite of what wrestlers do. Instead of using his wrestling ability to take the match to the ground, he uses it to get off of the ground.
In his next fight, Chuck needs to perform like a wrestler should. He needs to take his next opponent down and use his wrestling ability to get the dominant position. Chucks iron chin is gone, but his ability to throw hard punches isn’t.
Chuck needs to put his opponent in a position where they are on their back and cannot connect with powerful punches. Chuck isn’t known for his jiu-jitsu, but with his wrestling ability he can stay out of these positions that will force a tap.
Chuck is going to be set in his way of punching, and even if he knew some jiu-jitsu, he wouldn’t use it. Chuck is the kind of fighter who wants the highlight reel knockout every fight he has.
It would be easy to say that Chuck needs to work on his jiu-jitsu, but it is far too late in his career to start working on developing a great ground game. All Chuck needs to learn to do is avoid these holds. Learn how to see when he is getting set up for a submission and avoid it.
Learning to execute them would be a great addition, but it’s just like they say, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks Like I said previously, even if Chuck learned these submissions, it’s not going to be in his heart to lock them in.
The days of being a one-dimensional fighter in the UFC are gone, so Chuck needs to at least transition into one and a half. If he doesn’t change, then that granite chin is just going to keep getting cracked more and more.
Some people believe that this was Chuck last fight, I don’t see it for one simple reason. Chuck is still a big draw, and Dana knows how to market his big draws. That’s what your going to see for Chuck next.
I think Chuck is going to take a step back in his career before it hit its downward spiral.
Yes folks, expect to see "The Iceman" return as a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter." Chuck was the coach of Forest Griffin and Diego Sanchez, so he has a great track record as a coach.
Who the other coach would be is a mystery, but whoever it is, that will be Chuck's last chance in the ring. The only problem with this is how adamant Dana White has been about this being Chuck's last fight.
For UFC fans sake, I hope Dana is just hyping up “The Ultimate Fighter: Season 10," and if he’s not, then the UFC has truly lost a legend.
