NCAA Tournament 2013: Teams with Something to Prove on Sunday
The NCAA tournament may be one of the most epic cases of survive and advance in sports, but that doesn't mean all wins are created equal.
After the round of 64, some teams are who we thought they were. Ohio State and Indiana dominated in their tournament-opening games. Miami and Duke proved their worth as No. 2 seeds and cruised on into the round of 32 with ease.
However, there are some teams whose round of 64 performances leave us with some questions. Whether it be an underwhelming performance or a possible fluke, we need their round of 32 performances to show us their true colors.

Here are the teams that enter Sunday's slate with something to prove.
Kansas Jayhawks
A lot of pressure comes with being a No. 1 seed in the tournament. It's expected that those teams will automatically waltz into the Sweet 16 without much resistance.
The Jayhawks learned the hard way in the round of 64 that the expectation isn't always the case. Western Kentucky took the Jayhawks to task and really made them work to advance to the round of 32.
Now the Jayhawks find themselves with a relatively tough third-round matchup against North Carolina. The Tar Heels have a scorer in P.J. Hairston who can keep up with Ben McLemore. They are in a rhythm after shooting over 50 percent from three-point range and have plenty of big-game experience this season.
Kansas has to come out and prove that it is worthy of its billing as a No. 1 seed. The Jayhawks have had a few head-scratching performances this season, most notably a loss to TCU. This is their opportunity to bounce back from a closer-than-expected test against Western Kentucky.
They need to score a dominant win against the Tar Heels to regain momentum.
Florida Gulf Coast Eagles
The Eagles ruined a lot of brackets when they pulled off the upset of the tournament and stunned Georgetown in the round of 64.
Now everyone will want to know if they are legitimate.
The Eagles have shown flashes of brilliance before. In the second game of the season, they beat another No. 2 seed in the Miami Hurricanes, but they also have losses to the likes of Lipscomb and East Tennessee State.
The Eagles tested themselves against Duke, Miami and VCU during the regular season. Intimidation shouldn't be a factor. However, they'll have to prove to everyone that they're able to play like they did against Georgetown in back-to-back games.
La Salle and Ole Miss
Every year, there's a Cinderella double-digit seed team that makes it to the Sweet 16. This year, it's guaranteed that either La Salle or Ole Miss will capture that title.
La Salle probably has more to prove because it has flown under the radar the whole season. Despite wins in the regular season over Butler, VCU and Villanova, the Explorers entered the field with little to no fanfare.
After a win over Boise in the First Four round and an upset win over Kansas State, people are certainly watching them now.
Ole Miss came in needing to really make a run at the end of the season just to get in as a bubble team. Fortunately, it sealed its bid by winning the SEC tournament. With a win over Wisconsin in the first round, it's just one game away from the Sweet 16.
One of these teams will be the Cinderella of this tournament; they just have to prove themselves worthy against each other.
