Tennessee Football Recruiting: Meet Vols' 2013 Recruiting Class
A new era of Tennessee football begins with the Volunteer's 2013 recruiting class.
If the Volunteers want to get back to being competitive in the SEC, it's going to start and end with recruiting, and Tennessee has put together a solid 2013 class.
Butch Jones is the new coach, and he's had time to put his stamp on this class. The future is very bright with him at the helm, and he's been able to convince some notable recruits that Tennessee is the place to be.
The Volunteers also are in a good position to finish off the 2013 recruiting cycle on a strong note.
Let's meet Tennessee's 2013 recruiting class:

Analysis:
Jaylen Miller is a 3-star defensive end recruit who is ranked as the No. 11 player from South Carolina according to the 247Sports Composite. He is a big out of state recruit for Tennessee.
Jalen Reeves-Maybin
4 of 21Reeves-Maybin is a good outside linebacker commitment with a ton of potential to Tennessee.
He's also a big early enrollee and in-state commitment for the Volunteers. He checks in at 6'1'', 200 pounds and is ranked as the No. 17 outside linebacker in the 2013 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
He'll be able to come in and compete for playing time right away at outside linebacker.
Lemond Johnson
5 of 21Lemond Johnson is a big commitment for Tennessee, specifically because the Volunteers were able to flip him away from Auburn.
He runs a 4.50 40 according to 247Sports, so he has good speed and he should make an impact on special teams right away.
He'll also add some important depth at safety and could compete to be a starter once Brent Brewer moves on.
Paul Harris
6 of 21Harris has immense potential as a wide receiver, and he could end up being a star from this class.
He has terrific size at 6'4'' and 195 pounds and he also runs a 4.46 40 according to 247Sports.
He has the potential to be a legitimate deep threat for the Volunteers, and the fact that he enrolled early should give him a chance to move up the depth chart as a freshman.
Corey Vereen

8 of 21Jones is a talented cornerback recruit, so he's a big commitment for the Volunteers. He has good size at 6'0'' and 186 pounds and he's ranked as the No. 16 overall JUCO cornerback according to the 247Sports Composite.
He'll be an important backup and special teams player for Tennessee in his first season.
MarQuez North
9 of 21MarQuez North represents a huge recruiting win for the Volunteers. He has elite size for a wide receiver at 6'4'' and 212 pounds and runs a 4.41 40 according to 247Sports.
He's also the No. 11 ranked wideout in the 2013 class according to the 247Sports Composite. North should see major playing time from day one.
Jason Carr
10 of 21Jason Carr has superstar potential as a defensive end, so he's a big commitment for the Volunteers to hold on to.
Alabama is making a strong push for him, but Tennessee did receive his latest official visit. He has elite size and is ranked as the No. 12 strong-side defensive end in the country (247Sports Composite).
Ryan Jenkins

12 of 21Tennessee was able to get Jabo Lee to flip from East Carolina just days before signing day. He's ranked as an all-purpose back, and he has a ton of potential. He runs a 4.45 40 according to 247Sports and is considered to be the No. 15 all-purpose back in the 2013 class according to the 247Sports Composite.
Austin Sanders
13 of 21Sanders has big-time potential as an offensive tackle, so look for him to compete for a starting role once Ja'Wuan James moves on from the program. Sanders has great size at 6'5'' and 295 pounds and he's a big in-state commitment for the Volunteers.
Cameron Sutton

15 of 21Riley Ferguson is an important quarterback commitment for Tennessee. He has great size at 6'3'' and 190 pounds and he's ranked as the No. 23 pro-style quarterback in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite.
Justin Worley and Nathan Peterman look to be the starter and backup respectively in 2013. Because of that, Ferguson may want to take a redshirt year.
Dylan Wiesman
16 of 21Weisman is a big commitment for Tennessee, especially since Jones was able to eventually land him after he decommitment from Cincinnati.
Weisman is an important recruit from the state of Ohio, and he'll be a good depth player for the Volunteers.
Josh Smith
17 of 21Josh Smith is an important in-state receiver commitment for the Volunteers and he has very good potential. He has good size at 6'1" and 190 pounds and he runs 4.51 40 according to 247Sports.
Smith is the No. 25 ranked player from Tennessee according to the 247Sports Composite.
Malik Foreman
18 of 21Foreman is a big athlete recruit and he's a player that Tennessee was able to flip from Vanderbilt.
He's the No. 21 ranked player from the state of Tennessee, and he can play either wide receiver or cornerback for the Volunteers. Overall, he's a big late recruiting cycle win for Tennessee.
A.J. Branisel
19 of 21Branisel is another former Cincinnati decommitment that Tennessee was able to land. He's a big tight end at 6'4'' and 225 pounds and he'll add some much needed depth at the position.
Look for him to compete for a starting spot once Mychal Rivera runs out of eligibility.
Brett Kendrick
20 of 21Woody Quinn
21 of 21Fresno State made a late push for Quinn, but he's still committed to Tennessee. That's good news for the Volunteers, because he's a big-time JUCO recruit.
Quinn is the No. 10 ranked JUCO tight end according to the 247Sports Composite, and he'll compete for the starter's role soon enough.
