Potter Replaces Sauer While New York Rangers Wait for Rozsival
The New York Rangers traded Mike Sauer for Corey Potter of the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL as they wait for the return of Michal Rozsival from the injured list.
Sauer played in three games with the Rangers, making his NHL debut on Tuesday in the Rangers win over the Minnesota Wild and then seeing limited ice time in losses to the Atlanta Thrashers and Pittsburgh Penguins.
Potter made his NHL debut in December against the Calgary Flames and got his first assist on December 27 vs. New Jersey.
