Kelly Gregg's Knee Healing Up; It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time for the Ravens
It’s been one year since Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Kelly Gregg had knee surgery to repair damaged cartilage in his knee. And while reports once had the damage as being worse than originally thought, Gregg appears ready to hit the field for what should be an All-Pro kind of year.
“This is the time of the year most players want to get away from the game; they don’t even want to talk about it,” Gregg said in a recent interview. “It’s different for me this year. I can’t wait to get out on the field. I can’t wait to play again. The other players are looking at me like I’m crazy.”

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
And if Gregg, 32, is feeling good, that means Ray Lewis is going to feel great. If a healthy KG, who might be the best defensive tackle in the NFL not named Albert Haynesworth, is moving with speed and strength in running gaps, then Lewis is primed to wreak havoc in running and passing defense.
With the assurance that the middle of the line is stopped up, Lewis now has fewer checks to make in formations, something that will work very well as the defense gets used to life without Bart Scott.
This should give Ravens fans all of the confidence in the world that the defense will truly be back on top in 2008-09. And when fans have confidence, it truly is Peanut Butter Jelly Time.
