Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Starting in 2010, the NFL Draft Order will change. Rather than just going by records, draft order will also be impacted by how deep teams go into the playoffs—ANOTHER rule that they've passed to copy our fantasy football dynasty league!

One of my favorite mock drafts over at Walter Football took me a little off guard. His opening line for the No. 7 pick for the Raiders was “surprise,” and for good reason.
Landing in the spot is Michael Johnson of Georgia Tech. Johnson has not found himself in many first round mock drafts since before the combine, let alone in the top 10.
Quite the jump. The reasoning? Read on…
""Look, it’s no secret that Al Davis loves 40 [-yard dash] times. Johnson ran an unofficial 4.49 [seconds] at his Pro Day. A giddy Davis probably had him at 3.39. Undead Al is obsessed with athleticism, and that’s one of the reasons I’ve changed this selection, despite Johnson’s work ethic.
"The other reason? Al Davis’ draft history. I reviewed all the selections he has made in the past 30 years. In that span, Davis has taken a defensive tackle in the first round only twice - Darrell Russell in 1997, and he ran a 4.8 at 320 pounds. Meanwhile, he has chosen defensive ends four times in the opening round, the most recent being Tyler Brayton, who had the third-fastest 40 time among the players at his position in 2003. Terrell Suggs and Jerome McDougle were quicker, but were both off the board by the time Oakland picked at No. 31."

The Huddle Report throws a nice feature in it’s mock draft: You can watch them adjust the draft board with each pick.
Sure, anyone can do that. They just don’t, and Huddle Report does, which makes it cool.
The NFL Draft Dog has some unique picks in his latest mock draft that you don’t see many places.
I like the Michael Oher pick to Chicago to be honest. Most, including myself, have the Bears taking a WR, but OT is a big need as well and it would fall more in line with the way the Bears draft. David Terrell was the last first round WR the Bears took.
It will be interesting to see how that pans out. I could understand if Oher fell that far, but that remains to be seen.
NFL Draft Spot actually has a pick I’m surprised we don’t see more often: Rey Maualuga to the Jaguars. With Mike Peterson gone, it would appear there is a major job opening there.
The "Jason Smith could be taken No. 1 instead of Stafford" debate has picked up a little steam. Football’s Future makes a good point in its latest mock:
""If the Lions had any thoughts of selecting a tackle here, they would have made a big push for Matt Cassel from New England, involving pick 20 or 33. Stafford appears to be the guy, and he has some nice young weapons at his disposal with RB Kevin Smith and WR Calvin Johnson. Keep an eye on a move for Jay Cutler, which could bump Jason Smith up to this spot."
"
Rumor has it that the Lions might be interested in trading the No. 1 pick.
Well…YEAH THEY WOULD! How stupid would they be not to open that window if someone wants to over pay for it? They have to try.
