Terrell Owens: Why Make a Big Deal about Missing Voluntary Workouts?
Guys would kill to be as strong as he is. Girls would do anything to date a man with a body like his. It's safe to say that Terrell Owens knows how to keep his body in good shape.
It has been a little over two weeks since Owens signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Buffalo Bills and he is already making headlines for his actions.
Owens is doing what he is known best for—making headlines—as he was a no-show for the first day of voluntary workouts for the Bills on Monday. The workouts consist of a 12-week conditioning program in which players train with the Bills' conditioning and training staff. The program also consists of studying game film with position coaches.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Normally, it can be hard for people to stick up for Terrell Owens because of the type of player he is. He has a reputation for being a distraction in the locker room for the teams he has played for (ask the 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboys). Some people see him as one of the most selfish players in the league who only cares about himself.
No matter what people may think about Terrell Owens, there is one thing the media needs to realize about this situation: There is no need to make a big deal about Owens skipping voluntary workouts with the Bills. They call them "voluntary" workouts because these workouts are optional for players.
If Terrell Owens' work ethics were equivalent to Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie's on Fox's hit reality show The Simple Life, then his absence really would be a big deal. Look at Owens' physical shape; it's obvious he knows how to stay in great shape.
Owens may have the reputation as one of the most frustrating players to deal with in the NFL. However, he may have one of the best work ethics for any player in the NFL.
There is no debate about whether or not Terrell Owens has been a dominant player throughout his career. In 13 seasons, he has played in 191 career games. He has 951 career receptions for 14,122 yards and 139 touchdowns.
T.O. has been criticized throughout his career for dropped passes and obnoxious touchdown celebrations. He may be a 35-year-old with only a few seasons left in his career, but nobody can debate his work ethics.
The Buffalo Bills have nothing to worry about regarding Owens' shape, even though he's missed out on voluntary workouts. He is one of the most fit athletes in the NFL and it shows. Over the last three seasons, he has over 3,500 yards receiving and 38 touchdowns.
When he finally does show up for his first workout with the Bills, he will make sure that everyone has their popcorn ready. Everyone will witness that his personal workouts kept him in perfect shape, despite missing the beginning of voluntary workouts.
