BYU Basketball: Sampling the 2013 Cougar Recruiting Class
BYU's basketball team is comfortable with a current 5-2 record and a likely 20-plus win season. An NCAA tourney bid is likely, and although the current situation looks good, the future appears even brighter.
The 2013 Cougars recruiting class already includes five commits, two of which are four-star players. ESPN's Dave Telep has said it could be the school's greatest class, and it very well could be.
As Jabari Parker, the nation's second-best high school player is still considering the Cougs, here is a sampling of next year's class.
Nick Emery
1 of 4Position: Point Guard
High School: Lone Peak (Utah)
Status: Signed, 8/30/11
Height, Weight: 6'2", 180 lbs
Nick Emery is the younger brother of former BYU guard Jackson Emery and has already gained comparisons to Jimmer Fredette. A smooth-stroking southpaw with unlimited range, Emery has already led Lone Peak to a No. 6 national ranking by MaxPreps.

Eric Mika
2 of 4Position: Center
High School: Lone Peak (Utah)
Status: Signed, 12/16/11
Height, Weight: 6'9'', 220 lbs
A current teammate of Emery's, Eric Mika could be a fine replacement for Brandon Davies next year. A 6'9" center, Mika has the size to play D-1 basketball. Paired with Josh Sharp and Nate Austin, he could help bring dominance to BYU's frontcourt.

Luke Worthington
3 of 4Position: Power Forward
High School: Homestead (Wis.)
Status: Signed, 9/2/12
Height, Weight: 6'9'', 240 lbs
Luke Worthington is not BYU's most highly touted recruit, nor is he the most talented, but Worthington has plenty of potential and an unexpected three-star rating. After receiving offers from Princeton, Davidson, and Penn, the 6'9" forward decided to become a Cougar only a few months ago.

Jabari Parker
4 of 4Position: Power Forward
High School: Simeon (Ill.)
Status: Undecided
Height, Weight: 6'8", 220 lbs
The No. 2 prep player in the nation, Jabari Parker is a talented, young forward from Chicago. Despite recently narrowing his list of schools down to five, BYU made the cut (along with Stanford, Florida, Duke and Michigan State).
