It Looks Like Another Case of Smoldering Brackets
After nearly 16 games being complete in the 2009 NCAA Tournament, I am now convinced, more than ever, that the less you know going into the Tournament, the better off you are.
As a big college basketball fan, I probably watch more games than the average person does, ranging from the ACC and Big East, to the occasional mid-major showdow, I’ll watch them all.
I’ve seen so many different teams, especially after Championship Week, that I feel like I have a sense of what they are capable of, of course, I continue to learn every year that once March begins, it really doesn’t matter.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
I was convinced that Michigan would have no answer for Clemson’s inside game, I was wrong.
Figured Butler was young, but balanced enough inside and outside to handle LSU, once again, wrong.
Finally, I had seen BYU play Wake Forest tough for 40 minutes and figured they had what it would take to down Texas A&M...wrong again.
Having seen all of those teams in action did me no good in picking my brackets, while reading all of the so-called experts picks only convinced me more that I knew what I was talking about, wrong on both counts.
As I peruse the various standings for the many pools I’ve entered, I see perfect brackets still intact, picked by people that I know have maybe watched a handful of games this year at the most and I have little or no chance of catching them.
Maybe next year I’ll just watch a few games, focus on the teams I care about and then pick with my gut, might be less stressful, and could get a victory in one of these pools for once.
Let the Madness continue!! It’s a great three weeks of basketball.
