Georgia Football: Winners & Losers from the Week 10 Game vs. Ole Miss
It was not the start the Georgia Bulldogs wanted, but it certainly was the finish as they took down the Ole Miss Rebels 37-10 at Sanford Stadium.
After being down 10-0 midway through the second quarter, the Bulldogs scored 37 unanswered points and never looked back.
There were plenty of guys that performed extremely well in the win, and there were other guys that know they could have played better.
Here are the winners and losers from the Week 10 game against the Rebels.
Winner: Aaron Murray
1 of 6After having a rough outing against Florida, Aaron Murray bounced back in a huge way against the Ole Miss defense.
Murray finished 21-of-28 for 384 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 37-0 run.
It was game Murray needed to have to get his confidence back. And this game will give him momentum going into the Auburn game on Saturday.
Winner: Alec Ogletree
2 of 6The MVP for the defense has to go to Alec Ogletree who was all over the field.
The inside linebacker ended his evening with 11 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one interception.
One of his tackles for loss was ended the Ole Miss end zone, which resulted in a safety for the Bulldogs.
Despite missing the first four games of the year, Ogletree is playing like a All-American. So don't be surprised if some media outlets name Ogletree on their All-America list at the end of the year.
Winner: Damian Swann
3 of 6If there had to be a Co-Defensive MVP for the Bulldogs, that award would go to Damian Swann.
The sophomore cornerback notched two tackles, one sack, one pass breakup and two fumble recoveries.
Swann is a player that is getting better each week. This is what the coaches needed to see because he's going to be the guy that will lead the unit for the 2013 season.
Winner: Todd Gurley
4 of 6Todd Gurley did not have any spectacular touchdown runs, but he was very consistent and kept the chains moving for the Bulldogs, especially in the second half.
Gurley rushed for 117 yards on 18 carries and he also had one reception for 23 yards. Ole Miss did a solid job not letting Gulrey go wild, but Gurley was able to keep his legs moving and get the needed yards.
Loser: First-Half Offensive Line Play
5 of 6As it was mentioned earlier, the offensive line for the Bulldogs gave up five sacks in he first half, and that's never a good thing.
They had trouble picking up the blitz, and they had trouble at times getting their assignments right.
They were able to pick things up in the second half and looked like an elite group.
However, they can't afford to have Murray sacked five times in one game for the rest of the year.
Loser: Marlon Brown Injured
6 of 6The Bulldogs suffered another blow to the wide receiver position as Marlon Brown went down with an knee injury during the game and will miss the remainder of the season.
This is tough for the Bulldogs because Brown was having a solid year, and he looked to finish his career on a high note.
Brown finished the game with three catches, 113 yards and one touchdown. He season stats are 27 catches, 469 yards and four touchdowns.
